First, select and raise meat rabbit breeds that grow fast in the early stage. From the current breeds of meat rabbits, there are mainly: Belgian rabbit, French ram rabbit, German giant rabbit, New Zealand white rabbit, Japanese big ear white rabbit, American California rabbit, Danish white rabbit. These meat rabbits are so large that they can be fenced before the age of 90 days and can be selected and raised.

Second, make full use of the heterosis to cultivate excellent offspring rabbits. Son rabbit is the basis of meat rabbit breeding. In order to breed a good child rabbit, it is necessary to choose a good father and mother breeding rabbit. Therefore, the male breeding rabbit requires good meat quality, fast early weight gain, high feed conversion rate and high slaughtering rate; the female breeding rabbit requires more litter, good motherhood, high milkability, strong feeding ability, high survival rate and neat development. Using such rabbits to cross and breed, the offspring rabbits are basically excellent.

Third, keep the appropriate temperature and humidity in the rabbit house. The temperature and humidity in the rabbit house have a certain effect on the weight gain of fattening rabbits. Under the condition of intensive feeding, the optimum temperature for fattening young rabbits was 24 ℃, the optimum temperature for 42-46 days old was 24-46 days old, and the optimum temperature for 60-80 days old was 18-24 ℃. The humidity of the rabbit house, because the meat rabbit likes to be dry, afraid of moisture, and does not like to be too dry. Therefore, the suitable humidity of the rabbit house is 60% 65%, 60% is the best, the lowest can not be less than 40%, and the highest can not be higher than 75%. Otherwise, the meat rabbits will not be fattened.

Fourth, always pay attention to the ventilation of the rabbit house. If harmful gases are accumulated in the rabbit house, it will not only affect the growth and development of meat rabbits, but also make meat rabbits sick. The ventilation condition of the rabbit house should be good to keep the rabbit house air clean and fresh.

Fifth, try to reduce the light. When fattening rabbits were fed with full-price feed, except for the time of adding water, feeding, cleaning and observing health, all the rabbits remained completely black. In this way, it can not only save electricity, but also benefit the weight gain of fattening rabbits.

6. Timely listing and slaughtering. As far as the age of fattening rabbits is concerned, it is generally better to be slaughtered at the age of 60 ~ 90 days, and for body weight, the live weight is 2.25 ~ 3kg. If the age or live weight is too small, it will affect the income; if it is too large, it will increase the feeding cost, which is not cost-effective.
