In winter, it is often low temperature and drought, the root activity is weakened, the plant grows slowly, and the incidence of virus disease is high, which affects the normal growth and development of pepper. Therefore, measures should be taken to prevent cold and keep warm.

? I. Control of temperature and humidity

1. Temperature: the optimum temperature in the pepper greenhouse is 20-25 degrees, and the temperature in the greenhouse must be kept at no less than 10 degrees to meet the needs of pepper growth and development, and foliar fertilizer is sprayed in time to enhance the cold resistance of plants. Ventilation should adopt the principle of "turn on the wind late and turn off the wind early" to ensure the better and faster growth of pepper plants.

2. Humidity: the humidity in the greenhouse of chili pepper is 60-70%. Less than 50% will affect the photosynthesis and nutrient absorption of chili peppers. More than 70% can cause overgrowth or disease. The temperature and humidity in the greenhouse can be adjusted by ventilation.

? II. Field management

1. Temperature management: there is no ventilation within a week after planting, mainly heat preservation, and the temperature at night is not less than 10 degrees.

2. Moisture management: pepper is more drought-resistant and less tolerant to waterlogging. In order to achieve high yield, we must strengthen water management, irrigate during flowering and fruiting period, and keep the soil moist.

3. Topdressing: in the period of flowering, young fruit and fruit expansion, fertilizer can be gradually increased, and foliar fertilizer can be sprayed to enhance the nutrition matching function of pepper plants, prevent falling leaves, flowers and fruits, and make the pepper develop rapidly and the fruit is bright in color and spicy.

? III. Pest control

The prevention and control of diseases and insect pests is the key to the successful cultivation of vegetables in the greenhouse. Greenhouse vegetables provide suitable environmental conditions for overwintering of diseases and insect pests in winter, which will make the diseases and insect pests of vegetables more and more serious. Fumigation with chlorothalonil fumigant or spraying with Kedubao can effectively control the occurrence of virus diseases.
