The newly planted fruit trees grow vigorously, the growth is large, and the tissue is not full. Coupled with the fact that there are many Rain Water this autumn, the growth potential is more difficult to control, and it is easy to cause burning strips in winter. Some branches withered, others the whole plant died. In order to avoid unnecessary losses, farmers of newly planted fruit trees should be prepared in advance to prevent frost injury of fruit trees in winter. Several methods of cold prevention of fruit trees are introduced as follows.

1. Block the ridge of the crescent moon. Before winter (from the end of October to the beginning of November), a crescent-shaped ridge with a height of 50 cm, arc length of 120 cm and width of 60 cm is blocked from the north to the northwest of each fruit tree, which can resist the northwest wind, absorb more sun heat and increase snow accumulation in snowy days, so as to achieve the purpose of preventing frost injury of fruit trees. This method is suitable for most fruit trees.

two。 Overwhelm the ground. Before the soil is frozen, the whole aboveground part of the newly planted fruit tree is crushed, and the seedling is buried with garden soil. Pay attention to the thickness of the buried soil should be more than 10 cm, remove the covered soil in time after winter, no later than March 1 at the latest, too late tree bud germination will cause damage to the tree. This method is suitable for fruit trees with soft branches, such as apple, peach, plum, apricot, cherry, ginkgo, mulberry, grape, kiwifruit and so on.

3. Covered with plastic film. After pouring frozen water, the fruit trees are covered with plastic film with a thickness of 0.006 mm, which can preserve soil moisture, increase temperature and prevent freezing. This method is suitable for most fruit tree species, such as apple, pear, peach, plum, apricot, walnut, Hawthorn and so on. The method is to open a square ditch of 1 meter long, 1 meter wide and 5 cm deep around the tree plate, in which the stem and rhizome are placed by the opening of the plastic film, and the soil can be compacted along the trench around the plastic film, and the plastic film can be removed when fertilizing and watering in spring. This method can not only prevent frost, but also increase the ground temperature, which is beneficial to the root growth of fruit trees in spring.

4. Smear Vaseline. After the beginning of winter, use Vaseline to smear the young trees along the growth direction of the branches from the bottom to the top. The thinner the coating, the better, and the more thoughtful the coating, the better.

5. Plastic film bandage. After the defoliation of fruit trees, 0.004 mm agricultural plastic film is used to wrap the branches one by one to prevent cold. The method is to break the unsealed agricultural plastic film into 10cm-20cm segments with a guillotine, and if the number of fruit trees is small, you can also use unused plastic film rolls into 10cm-20cm segments to form a wide plastic tape. Then wrap the branches one by one up from the rhizome with a plastic ball. When bandaging new shoots, one or two straw should be put on the branches, and the branches and straw should be wrapped together. The function of rice straw is to increase the gap between the branches and the plastic film to protect the buds from damage.

6. Spray high ester film. Spraying the seedlings with 100 times of 27% high ester film emulsion after winter can play the role of anti-freezing. It is generally required to spray twice, once after winter, and the weather warms up (February).

7. Pour frozen water. Irrigation of frozen water before winter can improve soil moisture and help fruit trees to survive the winter. The specific time of pouring frozen water is that the water can freeze in the evening and melt in the morning is the best watering time.

8. Prevention and control of big green floating sunken son. The big green floating sunken seed is harmful to autumn vegetables such as cabbage and radish in autumn. it propagates on the fruit trees before winter, cuts the cortex of the branches with the ovipositor, and then lays the eggs in the cortex of the branches, so that the fruit trees can not keep water and die by freezing. Therefore, while it is not suitable for intercropping vegetables in the newly planted fruit orchard in autumn, 3000 times of cypermethrin should be sprayed on the fruit trees in mid-October to kill adults and prevent them from spawning.
