Employers are required to attend the workshop starting from July 1 when employing family workers for the first time.

In order to make employers who employ foreigners for the first time to engage in home care work or domestic helpers to understand the relevant laws and regulations of the Employment Service Law and abide by the provisions of legal employment, so as to reduce possible illegal acts in future employment, the Changhua county government has accepted the public or private employment service agencies to make appointments for group lectures every Wednesday since July 1, 105, to assist the public to complete pre-employment lectures, so as to obtain the qualification to apply for family foreign workers. On the morning of the 6th, a publicity press conference was held at the Coffee Art Gallery on the 6th floor of the county mansion. Wu Lanmei, Commissioner of Labour, explained the relevant contents. During the meeting, colleagues from the Labour Department performed action skits to urge the public to attend pre-employment lectures for the first time to hire family workers. Members of the public are also welcome to make good use of the group lectures provided by the Changhua County Government.

Director Wu Lanmei said that at present, Changhua County employs quite a lot of foreign manpower, of which foreign family workers account for 21%. To help take care of a considerable number of families in Changhua County, it may be because employers are not clear about the relevant laws and regulations in the past, resulting in misunderstanding of the laws. Therefore, in order to help employers who employ family foreign workers for the first time to have a better understanding of the regulations, the county government has planned three ways. They are over-the-counter lectures, group lectures and online lectures, which appeal to employers to participate in the lectures, to be familiar with the laws and regulations, so that employees can be protected, and employers also have appropriate channels to solve problems when they encounter problems.

Since July 1, 105, the Labour Department has accepted booking by members of the public or commissioned private employment service agencies to make an online appointment at the county government's Labour Department website (http://etraining.wda.gov.tw)) to provide employers with the service of completing pre-employment lectures by offering lectures for more than 10 people every Wednesday.
