The root system of wheat is relatively developed, 70% of which is concentrated in the plough layer 10-30 cm from the surface. Fine soil preparation before sowing is of great significance to promote the development of wheat root system. The quality requirements for land preparation should be deep, fine, transparent, solid and flat.

Depth: that is, on the original basis, the tillage layer is deepened year by year, and the depth is generally 20-27 cm. It is not suitable to plough too deep at one time, so as not to dig up a large amount of raw soil, which is disadvantageous to increase production in that year. Deep ploughing can thicken the living soil layer, improve soil structure, improve soil fertility and promote the development of root system. Practice has proved that the effect of deep ploughing has an aftereffect, so the general wheat field can be ploughed once every three years, and shallow ploughing can be carried out in the remaining two years, with a depth of 16-20 cm.

Fine: "Wheat is not afraid of grass, but afraid of rough pull and bite." Agricultural proverb shows that wheat bud top soil capacity is weak, under the bumpy, there will be bud drying phenomenon, easy to cause lack of seedlings and broken ridges, and suffer frost damage due to wheat root ventilation in winter. Therefore, after cultivated land must be raked into pieces, raked fine, to ensure that there is no light and dark bumpy, in order to be conducive to the normal growth of wheat seedlings.

To: it is required to plough thoroughly and rake thoroughly. So that there is no leakage of ploughing and raking. The uniformity of the wheat field is beneficial to the balanced yield increase of wheat.

Ping: that is, rough and flat before ploughing, flattening after ploughing, and fine leveling after the bed, so that the depth of the ploughing layer is the same, so that the watering is uniform, the water is economical, the sowing depth is the same, and the seedlings emerge neatly. In general, the slope of the wheat field should not exceed 0.3%, and the fluctuation in the border should not exceed 3 cm.

? Reality: that is, the topsoil is finely broken, and there is no overhead dark underneath, so as to achieve the upper virtual and lower solid. If the soil is not solid, it will cause different sowing depth, uneven emergence, easy to run soil moisture, is not conducive to taking root, and is vulnerable to freezing damage in winter. Therefore, the wheat fields that are too loose should be suppressed or watered with soil moisture before sowing.
