Recently, the author investigated the cultivation of local coriander and found that some plots did not emerge evenly due to continuous rainfall after sowing. Here, three points for attention in seedling management are sorted out for vegetable farmers in order to cultivate strong seedlings of coriander.

First, the germination period of coriander is long, and it takes about 9 to 10 days from sowing to emergence. In the sprouting period of parsley, if you encounter the weather of sudden sunny after rain, it is easy to form a layer of "pot cake" (plank layer) on the seedbed, which seriously affects the emergence rate of coriander. Vegetable farmers can alleviate it by watering a small amount of water to ensure the air permeability of the soil to facilitate seedling emergence.

Second, when the coriander seedlings grow to 4-5 cm high, it is necessary to carry out inter-seedling. Vegetable farmers can carry out seedlings according to the plant spacing of 3 cm to 4 cm to ensure that there is enough room for the growth of parsley, and the seedlings left behind should be of the same size for easy management. At the same time, the seedlings should be combined to remove weeds in the field.

Third, the disease of coriander is less, because it is planted in the open field, and now is the period of high incidence of insect pests, vegetable farmers should give priority to the prevention of insect pests, which can be prevented by spraying 0.5% methamyl salt 4000 times or 2.5% cabbage suspension 1000 times, once every 5 to 7 days.
