chili

Alias: Horn pepper, long pepper, sharp pepper

Planting season: March-May (all year round can be sown, in the south can be open winter).

Pepper-Seedling

1 can be broadcast or dibble for seedling transplanting. It is best to disinfect the seeds, first soak them in warm water at about 50℃ for 15 minutes, then soak them in O. 1% potassium permanganate solution for about 20 minutes, and sow them after cleaning with water.

② After the soil is watered, sow the seeds on the soil surface (2~3 seeds per hole if you want to sow), cover the soil with about 1 cm, and keep the soil moist. Germination took about 3~5 days at 25 ~ 30 ℃, and was difficult below 15 ℃.

3. Pay attention to controlling water content in seedling stage to avoid excessive growth, and generally do not water if it is not dry. When 8~ 10 true leaves are planted, transplant and transplant in warm sunny afternoon, bring soil as much as possible, one plant per pot, planting depth is suitable for cotyledon soil, and irrigate water thoroughly, and manage normally after survival.

? Pepper-Daily Management

① When the plant height is more than 30 cm, set up a support in time and fix the trunk on the bamboo pole with a rope. When the top of the trunk begins to branch, pruning can be carried out. Pepper generally removes all the branches below the bifurcation; sweet pepper retains the first branch and the first branch, and the lower branches are removed.

② Enjoy moderate intensity of light, and properly shade during summer exposure to avoid burns. In southern China, the plants can be pruned after summer and fertilized appropriately to promote the germination of new branches.

③ The ratio of N: P: K is 1: O.5: 1, complete fertilizer should be applied, decomposed organic fertilizer can be applied once every 7~ 10 days, and the concentration should not be too large; more N is needed in seedling stage, more P and K are needed in flowering and fruiting, and too much N is easy to drop flowers.

(4) It is more drought-resistant than waterlogging, and it is forbidden to accumulate water. Before flowering, water can be properly controlled to avoid excessive growth, fruit bearing period needs more water, should avoid drought.

(5) The seedling grows slowly, and amaranth seed interplanting can be broadcast before and after planting.

? Chili-Harvest

Generally, 2 to 3 weeks after flowering, the fruit can be fully expanded and harvested when the color is green, or it can be harvested when the fruit turns yellow or red. Pay attention to picking as many times as possible, picking together with the fruit stalk, leaving more fruits on the plant, which can improve the yield.
