1. Thinning seedlings in time when two or three true leaves for the first time, plant spacing 3cm, and shallow cultivation between rows, promote seedling growth. Thinning seedlings for the second time when seedlings have four or five true leaves, keeping plant spacing 10~17cm, and intertillage and weeding once. Early-maturing varieties and small fleshy root varieties should be planted closely.

2. The first topdressing should be carried out when the seedlings have three or four true leaves. 2~ 4 kg ammonium sulfate, 3~ 3.5 kg calcium superphosphate and 1.5~ 2 kg potassium fertilizer can be applied every 667m2. 20~25 days after the first topdressing, the second topdressing is carried out, and ammonium sulfate 7kg, calcium superphosphate 3~ 3.5 kg and potassium chloride 3~ 3.5 kg are applied every 667m2.

3. Proper watering Carrots should keep the soil moist throughout the growth period to facilitate plant growth and succulent root formation. In summer and autumn drought, especially when the fleshy root expands, it is necessary to increase watering in order to obtain high quality and high yield. If the water supply is insufficient, the roots are thin and rough; if the water supply is uneven, the fleshy roots are easy to crack. Wu Ming
