The main pests in vegetable seedling stage are small land tiger, mole cricket, golden needle worm, snail and so on.
Little land tiger. Commonly known as "soil silkworm", "ground silkworm" and "root-cutting worm". It mainly harms the seedlings of spring sowing vegetables such as eggplant fruits, melons, legumes, cruciferae and so on. The larvae are grayish black or dark brown with a rough body surface and a body length of 37-47 mm. The larvae bite off the stem of the vegetable seedlings near the ground, killing the whole plant, resulting in lack of seedlings and broken ridges, and even destroy the seeds in serious cases.
Mole cricket. It is commonly known as "local dog son" and "Lara cricket". Eating miscellaneous, can harm a variety of vegetables and crop seedlings. The adult is 36-55 mm long and has a fat yellow-brown body. Adults bite seeds and seedlings in the soil, bite off the tender stems of seedlings, or bite the roots into hemp, resulting in lack of seedlings and broken ridges. The soil surface is strung into many uplift tunnels, so that the root soil is separated into "hanging seedlings", so that the seedlings die.
Grub. Grubs are beetle larvae, also known as Bombyx mori. To harm many kinds of vegetables. The mature larvae are 35-45 mm long, wrinkled all over the body and bent into type C at rest. The larvae bite off the roots of the seedlings, resulting in a lack of seedlings and broken ridges. It can also eat the root tuber, weaken the aboveground growth potential and reduce the yield and quality.
Golden needle worm. Golden needle worm is the larva of kowtow worm, commonly known as "yellow cricket fly", "gnawing root worm" and so on. In order to harm many kinds of vegetables, the larvae are about 23 mm long, cylindrical, brown and glossy, and the larvae eat seeds and young roots, so that the vegetables dry up and die at the seedling stage, and can also bite and penetrate into the stem, eating the stem heart, causing plant death.
Snails. The common name is "Buffalo". Damage to cabbage, cauliflower, radish, beans, potatoes and other vegetables. The shell is spherical in medium size, 19 mm high and 21 mm wide.
