Driven by the government's energy saving and carbon reduction policy, private green buildings have grown vigorously. According to the statistics of the Ministry of the Interior, by the end of June this year, 5,882 public and private buildings in China have been approved by green building badges or candidate green building certificates. Based on the average benefit of saving 20% of electricity and 30% of water, it is estimated that about 1.478 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity and 70 million tons of water can be saved every year. It is equivalent to the capacity of 20, 8000 international standard swimming pools and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 835000 tons, which is equivalent to the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by the area of 2154 Da'an Forest Parks, which can save about 5.874 billion yuan in water and electricity costs every year.

The Ministry of the Interior said that in the face of the crisis of global climate change and lack of resources, Taiwan has established a green building assessment system (EEWH) and marking system with unique subtropical climate characteristics, and requires that new public buildings with a total project cost of more than 50 million yuan must obtain green building marks, and continue to encourage the private sector to build green buildings, so as to achieve the "energy saving" and "water saving" goals of the green building policy.

In order to enable people from all walks of life to have a better understanding of green buildings, the Construction Research Institute of the Ministry of the Interior actively plans publicity measures for different aspects, among which the "intellectual Tour of low-carbon sightseeing Green buildings" is a comprehensive experience of integrating green architecture, environmental education, low-carbon life and sightseeing tourism. Professional tour guides trained through green buildings combine wonderful historical allusions and local culture, and arrange local food and snacks. Lead you to explore low-carbon green buildings in various places easily and comfortably.

This year, 12 theme tours are launched, including one-day tours to places such as cultural exploration and freshwater cultural customs in Beitou, and two-day tours to explore the context of Sun Moon Lake and Xitou forest experience in Nantou. Participation fees include transportation, catering, tickets and accommodation, etc., the one-day tour is between 590 yuan and 1320 yuan, and the two-day tour is about 4800 yuan to 5200 yuan. People are welcome to participate enthusiastically. You can also contact the Architectural Research Institute of the Ministry of the Interior (extension 02-89127890).
