Taichung welcomes the upgrade of the East Asian Youth Movement Center
Taichung City government is actively building nine national sports centers, each with six core sports facilities and different characteristics. Among them, the Chung Cheng National Sports Center, the largest in Taichung and with a wavy facade, focuses on water sports and will be used as the venue for water sports competitions hosted by Taichung City in 2019 East Asian Youth Games in the future. In order to make the sports center more complete and diversified, the Construction Bureau has extended the construction period moderately, increased equipment and upgraded the building standard grade without additional budget, hoping to make the venue equipment in place at one time, which is more in line with the future trend and use needs.
According to the Construction Bureau, the construction project of Zhongzheng National Sports Center was originally scheduled to be completed in August. However, in order to make the intelligent building equipment of the venue more complete and meet the development trend of science and technology and the needs of users, the municipal government started from the directions of information communication, safety and disaster prevention, health and comfort, equipment energy saving, comprehensive wiring, system integration and facility management, etc., and added central monitoring system equipment, including anti-theft, air conditioning, ventilation, indoor environmental quality, access control monitoring and energy saving control systems. Information network system equipment, facilities management server, building facilities management operation platform and database will be built in order to become the first national sports center in the city to obtain intelligent building certification.
In addition, the Zhongzheng National Sports Center is based on energy-saving and low-pollution green building design, effectively utilizing solar panels and rainwater recycling to achieve energy-saving and carbon-reducing effects, and optimizing water conservation and daily energy conservation at the base by adjusting the thickness of window glass and adding permeable gravel grading.
