Tainan Labor Bureau pushes Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes to support sheltered workshops

There are different companion gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Tainan Municipal Labor Bureau held a press conference on the Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes at sheltered workshops on the 16th, encouraging entrepreneurs and people to buy sheltered products when buying holiday gifts and to support sheltered workshops with actions.

At present, some technology companies in the new urban areas and Southern District have ordered more than 1000 boxes of Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes from the "Exhibition Wing Bakery" to give to their employees, which can not only enjoy the festive atmosphere, but also help people with physical disabilities. The Tainan Labor Bureau specially issued a certificate of appreciation to express its gratitude, so as to encourage the public to buy all kinds of goods from sheltered workshops.

There are four sheltered workshops set up by the Tainan Municipal Labor Bureau. "Exhibition Wing Bakery" launched "Love" this year. Joy "Mid-Autumn Festival gift box, including sweet and sour pineapple cake, ancient mung bean curd, thousands of layers of taro crisp, Egg-Yolk Puff and handmade biscuits;" Lianxinyuan sheltered agronomic workshop "combined with Lianxinyuan Foundation launched warm heart perilla plum gift box, steamed bag + egg roll gift box. Chuangyi and Jimao sheltered workshops are engaged in photocopying, printing, art design, engraving and providing a variety of customized printing products.

The Secretary for Labour, Mr Wang Xinji, called on all sectors of the community to actively purchase asylum products, take actions to support sheltered workshops, increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and transform the physically and mentally handicapped into service workers after appropriate training, so that they can become self-reliant and enjoy their work through counseling, develop a mode of interaction with others, and help families share the economy. The Labour Bureau continues to provide counselling to the newly established sheltered workshops to serve more people with physical and mental disabilities.
