There are often germs on the surface of vegetable seeds, and seeds are an important way to spread vegetable pathogens. After the selection of vegetable varieties, the seeds should not only be selected, but also need to be disinfected. Disinfecting seeds before sowing can effectively reduce the occurrence of diseases. According to the characteristics of different vegetable seeds, the following disinfection methods can be used:

1. Seed disinfection by soaking seeds in warm soup

Except eggplant, cucumber and wax gourd seeds with thick coat were soaked in 70-80 ℃ hot water, other seeds were put in 55 ℃ hot water, the amount of water was four times as much as that of seeds. Pour water while stirring, soak for 15-30 minutes, fish out and dry and sow seeds, mainly to control leaf mold and canker.

2. Disinfection of liquid medicine

1. Soak the seeds with 500 times of 10% trisodium phosphate solution or 2% sodium hydroxide solution for 20-30 minutes, remove and wash, mainly to prevent and cure virus.

2. Soak the seeds with 300 times formalin for 90 minutes, remove and wash, dry and sow the seeds, which can control Fusarium wilt.

3. Soak the seeds with 50% formalin wettable powder 500 times solution for 20 minutes, remove and wash, dry and sow seeds, which can prevent anthracnose.

Third, seed disinfection with medicinal powder

The seeds soaked in warm soup were dried and sowed with 1 gram thiram or chlorothalonil or carbendazim and other pesticides per kilogram of seeds before sowing, which could prevent and cure the disease.
