A fear of cold. The suitable growth temperature for piglets is 32℃~35℃ for newborn pigs, 20℃~22℃ for nursery pigs, 15℃~20℃ for medium and large pigs. Low temperature had a serious effect on growth and gain of pigs. When the temperature of pigsty was lower than the lower limit of suitable temperature, the daily gain decreased by 17.8 g for every 1℃ decrease; if the temperature of pigsty decreased below 4℃, the gain rate decreased by 50%, and the feed consumption increased by more than one time. Therefore, in winter pigsty should strengthen warm, reduce pig metabolism consumption, improve feeding efficiency.

Second, fear of cold. The temperature of drinking water and feed for pigs in winter has a close relationship with the growth and health of pigs. When the water temperature and feed temperature are 0℃, the temperature of these water and feed is raised to the level of body temperature of 39℃, and the pig body consumes 682~878 kilocalories of heat energy, which is equivalent to 0.5~0.75 kilograms of concentrated feed consumed in vain every day to maintain body temperature. Therefore, raising piglets and sows in winter, it is best to feed warm food and warm water, and the water temperature is maintained at about 37℃.

Three fear of tide. When the environmental temperature in the house is low, the relative humidity is high, which seriously affects the production performance of pigs, especially for piglets. Piglets in the pigsty with high relative humidity in winter gained about 48% less weight than the control group, and were prone to diarrhea, enteritis and other diseases. The suitable growth humidity for different pigs is 50%~70% for piglets, 70% for fattening pigs of 40~80 kg, 80% for fattening pigs of 80~110 kg, and 55%~80% for breeding sows. The shed can be ventilated, increased illumination, additional warm bedding and other measures to prevent humidity in the shed and keep it dry.

Four fear of illness. If the temperature of the pigsty in winter is low, the humidity is high, the sanitation is poor, and the ventilation is not good, the pig is prone to disease. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen feeding management, keep the enclosure ventilated, clean and dry, disinfect the enclosure regularly, and preferably adopt flame disinfection method. At the same time, we should do "five observations", that is, observe shape, observe spirit, observe food intake, observe feces and urine, observe respiration, once pigs are sick, timely diagnosis, isolation treatment as soon as possible.

5 afraid of wind. Pigs are most afraid of "draught" and "thief wind" in winter, which will not only reduce the temperature of the house, but also cause pig colds, strokes, rheumatism and other diseases. In winter, pigsty must block wind tunnel, hang straw curtain, paste window, close doors and windows, prevent rat hole, crack, gap, broken roof, door, window crack and other "thief wind" blowing in the pen, affecting the normal growth and development of pigs. wanguo
