Most parts of our country are still very hot after entering late August. The key points of raising sheep are to continue to prevent heat and cool down, to make hay and to raise ewes in advance. After the End of Heat, the temperature dropped gradually, and the weather became cooler obviously. The main points of raising sheep are to eliminate pests, breed rams and ewes in the early stage of mating, identify and breed estrus.

Prevent heat and cool down. The most suitable temperature for life and production of sheep is 8 ℃ ~ 16 ℃. When the temperature exceeded 30 ℃, the daily gain of mutton sheep and milk yield of dairy goats decreased significantly. When the weather is hot, the following countermeasures are mainly taken to prevent heat and cool down: provide enough drinking water. In order to keep fresh and cold water in the sink, it is best to use groundwater, add a little salt to the water, and drink it as soon as possible. Adjust the diet structure. Feed more green succulent feed and less straw and hay dry roughage. The content of nutrients such as protein, vitamins and minerals in the diet should be increased. 0.5% sodium bicarbonate can be added to the diet, which can not only neutralize rumen acid, prevent ketoemia, fatty liver and other diseases, but also promote sheep respiration and heat dissipation. Supplementary feeding at night. Due to the hot weather during the day, the sheep can be fed with forage when the weather is cool at night to make up for the lack of food intake of sheep during the day. Increase ventilation. Open the doors and windows of the sheep house, conditional can install electric fans, in order to accelerate the ventilation in the house, reduce hot and humid or high temperature and humidity. Sunshade. The sunrise doors and windows of the sheep house should be shaded by asbestos tiles, fiberboard and plywood; if there is no shade in the sports ground, an Arbor should be built with Reed grass, wheat straw and straw to protect the sheep from the scorching sun. Clean and disinfect. Inside and outside the house, disinfect and disinfect with 5% laisuer or parathion solution regularly, remove feces in time and fill the sewage pit to reduce the interference of mosquitoes and flies. Drink dandelion water. Dandelion water has the effects of anti-inflammation, sterilization and clearing heat. In early autumn, sheep are easy to get angry and suffer from eye diseases. they can often drink dandelion water and wash their eyes with dandelion water 3 ~ 4 times a day.

Sun-dried hay. Green hay contains less water, more dry matter, rich nutrition and good palatability. it can replace green grass in withered grass period. The sheep bred with high-quality green hay have strong physique, high yield and stability. Therefore, we should make full use of green grass and hot weather to prepare sufficient hay for the dry season. When drying hay, the straw grinding method can be used: the wheat straw with a thickness of 3 meters is laid on the grain field, and the green grass is covered with green grass with a thickness of 3 meters, and then the wheat straw with a thickness of 3 meters is laid on the green grass, and then rolled with a hammer, the grass juice can be absorbed by the wheat straw, and the flattened green grass can be dried in a hot day.

Pre-matched ewes are raised. The peak breeding period of sheep is from late August to late October. Ewes suffer from loss of appetite due to extreme heat, and the physical exertion of lactation for several months is large and the body is weak. After the weather turns cool, with the increase of ewe appetite, coupled with this period of rich forage, rich nutrition, good palatability. Therefore, it is necessary to make use of favorable forage and climatic conditions in time to give short-term optimal feeding to ewes 20 ~ 30 days before mating to achieve full fat mating. Feed ewes a sufficient amount of high-quality forage grass, such as alfalfa, Russian fodder vegetables, grain amaranth, etc., and supply nutritious and comprehensive concentrate, about 0.5 kg a day.

Get rid of pests. Mosquitoes and flies can cause sheep nose fly disease, which can be prevented by smearing trichlorfon ointment (1% refined trichlorfon mixed with waste oil or other oils, ointment) or 2% Lesuer spray disease around sheep nostrils. Grass reptiles can cause sheep burring disease, which can be prevented by brushing sheep with 0.5%-0.1% trichlorfon solution or 0.05%-0.1% cyfetin solution every week.

The ram was raised in the early stage of mating. The breeding of ram in the early stage of mating is very important to the success or failure of mating. General breed rams are fed 0.5kg concentrate per day from late August, 1kg concentrate per day from the End of Heat, and 2 raw eggs or 1kg goat milk every day, and high-quality forage grass is allowed to feed freely.

Ewe ewe estrus induction, estrus identification and mating. Ewes begin to estrus after late August, when the sunshine changes from long to short and the temperature begins to drop. There are a series of regular changes in the mental state, sexual behavior and vulva of the ewe. Ewe should identify the estrus according to the signs of estrus and breed in time. Observe ewes every morning and afternoon, in order to prevent mismatch, it is best to use rams to test ewes, that is, strong, sexually experienced rams into ewes, found to accept climbing ewes, you can determine oestrus.
