International Food Festival 25 Taichung experts gather to compete for WACS gold medal
Taichung experts gathered to compete for the WACS gold medal at the International Food Festival on the 25th.
The "2016 Taiwan International Food Festival-TCAC Challenge" will be staged at the Taichung Korean Horse Industrial and Commercial Exhibition Center from August 25 to 28. A total of 751 groups of 26 individual competition groups and 11 teams of domestic and foreign contestants will compete for gold medals. Exotic cuisine will also be provided for the public to taste, clocking in and sending professional kitchen knives. Taichung City Tourism Bureau welcomes people from all walks of life to come.
The Challenge is guided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Communications and the Taichung Municipal Government, and sponsored by the Taiwan Cuisine and Food Association. A press conference was held at the Municipal Building of Taiwan Avenue on the 22nd. Chen Yung-Cheng, chairman of the Taiwan Cuisine and Gourmet Association, said that the main purpose of the competition is "culinary heritage" and "internationalization of Taiwan cuisine." thanks to the city government and the association's supervisors and other relevant units for their support and assistance. Chen Yu-Cheng, deputy director of the Tourism Bureau, said that the integration of the culture of "running a table" this year will be very helpful in promoting Taichung internationally.
According to the Taiwan Cuisine and Cuisine Association, the event is divided into four thematic activity areas, namely, the food area, the competition area, the Haokang area and the stage performance area. Local specialties such as Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong are sold on the spot, as well as experiential game areas where the whole family can have fun.
The first 100 people who bought tickets on the day of the opening ceremony will receive a high-level mysterious gift provided by Chengfang Co., Ltd., as the first welcome gift. During the four-day event, the Haokang area will also give away 50 copies of world-class professional kitchen knives sponsored by Liuxie Industrial Co., Ltd., as a gift for punching in.
