All the proceeds will be donated to the social assistance fund account of the Social Affairs Bureau to assist children and disadvantaged friends to study, while the super pineapple cake will be donated to the Deshui Garden Correctional Institute in Taichung City.
Mayor Lin Chia-lung said that Taichung is a city rich in food culture and a livable city suitable for living. The city government also promotes Taichung food culture through this competition. In the future, Taichung will hold the 2018 World Flower Expo and the 2019 East Asian Youth Games. It is expected that people who come to Taichung will feel good mountains, good water and good food, so that tourists can buy good quality cakes.
