Feed is rich in summer, so it is necessary to seize the opportunity to grasp the summer fat of mutton sheep so as to lay the foundation for full fat and breeding in autumn and winter. However, the hot weather in summer can easily cause heatstroke or other diseases in sheep. Therefore, farmers should make preparations in advance, adjust measures to local conditions and stocking scientifically in order to achieve the goal of superior animal husbandry and rapid fattening.

The weather is hot in summer, sheep like to pile up and don't have enough to eat. Grazing in the morning should come out early and return early, generally waiting for the dew to dry and then grazing. At 11: 00 noon and 15: 00 pm, let the sheep rest and graze in the pen, and harvest at 7:00 in the evening. In sunny weather, they should choose dry places for grazing. On hot days, choose shady areas for grazing to prevent heatstroke.

While feeding mixed feed (wheat bran, corn flour, bean cake and rice bran, straw bran, etc.) once or twice a day, grazing sheep should drink brine for 4 times and 6 times. Do not let sheep drink dead pond water, drainage and irrigation water, ditch water or let sheep graze and rest in wet and muddy places, so as not to cause rheumatism.

It is hot and humid in summer, and after sheep grazing comes back, the range of activities becomes smaller, which is easy to cause dampness and bad environment in the enclosure, which often leads to the occurrence of parasitic diseases. Therefore, attention should be paid to the environmental hygiene, ventilation and moistureproof of the sheep house, to keep the sheep house clean and dry, and to do a good job in the prevention and control of parasitic diseases such as scabies. Daily feed and drinking water must be kept clean. Do not feed moldy, spoiled, poisonous or foreign bodies, and the feeding utensils are always kept clean. Sheep houses and playgrounds should be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
