Yunlin Agricultural Progress Southeast Asia Forum seizes the opportunity of New southward Industry

In order to promote the cooperation between Yunlin County industry, government and Southeast Asia, the Yunlin County government jointly organized the "New southward Industrial opportunity-Yunlin Agriculture advancing Southeast Asia" Forum with Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Huwei University of Science and Technology and Global University of Science and Technology on the 19th. Deputy County Mayor Zhang Huangzhen, Counsellor Chen Kuanhuan of the New South Policy Office of the Presidential Palace, Hou Chunwang, President of the University of Cloud Science and Technology, Jue Wenyu, President of Tiger University of Science and Technology, Xu Shumin, Chairman of the University of Science and Technology, Ding Chongcheng and Peng Shihao of Malaysia, as well as representatives of industry officials and schools in the county all attended the promotion of concern for the opportunity of the new southward direction.

Deputy County Mayor Zhang Huangzhen said that if Yunlin County wants to reverse, it is necessary to seize the opportunity in this new southward trend; therefore, County Mayor Li Jinyong specially visited Malaysia in early August to facilitate the signing of the "Memorandum of Cooperation in Halal Industry Development" between the County's Industrial and Commercial Development Investment Promotion Council and Malaysia's Selangor International halal Certification Center; and the purpose of holding this forum is to promote agriculture in the county to move forward in Southeast Asia.

Deputy county magistrate Zhang Huangzhen also said that in June this year, the presidential palace specially set up the "New southward Policy Office," and in order to promote this policy, the Executive Yuan also allocated a budget of about 4 billion yuan to set up the "Executive Yuan Economic and Trade negotiation Office." therefore, Chen Kuanxian, counsellor of the presidential palace, was invited to give a special speech, hoping to make the guests understand the importance of this policy better. In addition, the three universities in the county are also actively striving for Southeast Asian students to study in Taiwan, hoping to combine this opportunity with industrial policy to train more professionals for the "New southward Policy."

President Dahou of Yunke, President Dajue of Tiger Science and Technology, and Chairman Daxu of Environmental Science all expressed the hope that there would be more sparks for cooperation between all walks of life and Southeast Asia.
