Preparation before introduction

Goats like to be clean, dry and afraid of heat, so the enclosure and sports ground should be thoroughly cleaned before introduction, the enclosure, feeding trough and surrounding environment should be disinfected with 2% caustic soda water or Lysol, and then cleaned with clean water. The enclosure is required to be well ventilated in summer, moistureproof and shade, and can protect against cold and wind in winter.

Feeding and drinking water

Breeder sheep are very tired after long-distance transportation. They should first have a full rest, do not be frightened, wait until they are stable before drinking water and add more than 05% vitamins to drinking water, which can reduce emergency response. Do not give drinking water that is very different from your body temperature for the first time. The water must be clean and fresh. As the sheep are on an empty stomach for a long time, do not feed too much for the first time, you can give high-quality dried grass to 6: 7% full, so that the gastrointestinal function can be fully conditioned, and then gradually give and increase concentrate and free forage.

Clear sheep are divided into groups

After a short rest after feeding, all the imported sheep were counted and checked, and grouped according to sex, age, individual size and physical condition. For the thinner sheep, the amount of fine feed and special nursing should be increased appropriately to restore the body condition as soon as possible.

Comb scraping

Scraping the sheep comb twice a day is conducive to the recovery of blood circulation and physique on the body surface, increase the gloss of the coat, enhance the relationship between people and sheep, facilitate human proximity, and shorten the stress adaptation period.

Deworming and vaccination

Deworming is carried out in batches according to specific conditions, that is, the structure of sheep, the situation of pregnancy and breeding and the body condition of sheep can be grasped flexibly. The focus of prevention and injection is to inoculate triple vaccine, streptococcus vaccine and lamb dysentery vaccine, sheeppox, foot-and-mouth disease, sheep infectious pleuropneumonia and so on.

Observation and treatment

The disease resistance of the goat is very strong, and the symptoms are not obvious at the initial stage of the disease. The mental state, feeding, exercise and drinking water of the goat should be observed carefully. If there is a slight abnormality, it means that the sheep is sick, and the reason should be found in time to give treatment. Newly introduced sheep often find cough, runny nose, slight diarrhea or large chunks of stool as a normal phenomenon, which usually lasts only 1-2 days, occasionally occurs keratitis and aphtha, and generally recovers naturally, but those with long and serious symptoms should be isolated and treated in time.

Feeding transition

Due to the differences in environmental conditions, feeding methods and feeding levels between introduction and feeding areas, the feeding mode should not be changed at once, but should be gradually transferred to reduce stress stimulation as much as possible, so as to adapt to the local environment and feeding methods in a relatively short time, and give full play to its excellent breed characteristics as soon as possible.
