In order to supply flowers for the May Day, ditches should be made on the open-field seedbed after the rainy season in mid-late August of the first year, the soil cover should be thin, the bottom fertilizer should be less applied, and the seedlings should emerge after 8-10 days. The seedlings were pseudo-planted in the low-temperature greenhouse in the first ten days of October, transferred to the medium-temperature greenhouse in the middle and late November, and moved out of the greenhouse or planted in the basin in late April next year.

For the National Day, the seedlings in North China should be potted in the greenhouse or direct seeded in the hotbed in early March. In early May, the seedlings should be planted in the open field with a row spacing of 30 cm x (35-40) cm, and the seedlings should be potted or moved into the flower bed in early August.

A string of red (firecrackers) was originally a perennial herb, but after growing for 2 years, the plant was loose and the flowering was rare, so it was mostly cultivated as annual or biennial flowers. The main varieties are a cluster of white flowers, a short cluster of red plants, and a cluster of strong clusters of red.

In order to increase the number of flower branches, when the flower seedlings grow 4 leaves, pick the heart of the main branch to promote its sprouting lateral branches. When the lateral branch grows 4 leaves, remove the apical bud of the lateral branch, promote it to sprout secondary lateral branches, and make the number of flowering branches reach 8. Only in this way can the plant type be plump and blossom various. If the pot is larger, 3 seedlings should be planted in one pot. 1000-fold solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be applied to flower branches before budding, otherwise there are many flower branches, but flowering is rare.
