Peach grafting can be carried out in spring and summer, using bud grafting or branch grafting. Branch grafting can be used when the rootstock is thicker or when it is regrafted on the main branch.

At present, the commonly used grafting methods are embedded bud grafting and split grafting.

1. Embedded bud grafting. That is, bud grafting with woody parts. It is not limited by time or by whether the branches are peeled or not, the survival rate of grafting is high, and the growth potential of seedlings is strong. The grafting method is as follows: cut obliquely from 1 cm above the bud, penetrate into the xylem, and then cut obliquely at an angle of about 30 °from 1 cm below the bud, and remove the bud with xylem. Then use the same method in the smooth and flat part of the rootstock about 10 cm from the ground, cut into the same or slightly longer incision of the scion bud piece, insert the bud piece into the cut of the rootstock, align around it, align at least one side if the bud piece is small, and bind the wound tightly from the bottom of the interface to the interface with a plastic film strip.

2. Splicing method. It is a method that is widely used in production. When grafting, the rootstock is cut off from the smooth place of 10 cm at the base, the shearing saw must be smooth, and then split vertically at the center of the section (thicker ones can be at 1 ram 3 and 1 ram 4), with a depth of about 3 cm 4 cm. The scion selects branches with full buds, cut the lower side of the scion into a large slope of about 3 cm, and the other side into a small slope of 1 cm. The cutting surface must be smooth, retaining a full bud, and insert the scion with a large oblique face inward into the split of the rootstock, so that the cambium of the rootstock and the scion are aligned with each other, and the upper end of the scion should be 0.1 cm higher than the cut of the rootstock, then tie the cut tightly with a plastic film strip.
