New Taipei Mayor Zhu Lilun attended the fourth New Taipei City ICT International Purchasing Exchange Media Fair on the 12th and visited the smart goods displayed on the spot with overseas buyers. Mayor Zhu greatly appreciated the creativity and wisdom upgrading of New Taipei City ICT manufacturers, and hoped that the Purchasing Exchange Media Association would be a complete success and create new achievements for the new Taipei city-funded communications industry.
Mayor Zhu Lilun said that New Taipei has made remarkable achievements in the promotion of a smart city. Through the spirit of excellence of New Taipei manufacturers and excellent technology, products and creativity, New Taipei has a great advantage in developing ICT industry. The five major themes of this year's Purchasing Exchange Media Association include "smart family", "smart transportation", "smart medicine", "smart manufacturing" and "wearable technology", all of which are very important development projects in Taiwan.
Mayor Zhu Lilun pointed out that Taiwan's ICT industry continues to transform with the combination of intelligent technology and the concept of the Internet of things, and New Taipei City is the manufacturing city of the Internet of things industry. Therefore, the municipal government continues to actively assist in the integration and cross-regional development of the communications industry chain, and through the annual procurement exchange media meeting, create opportunities for ICT manufacturers to be in line with international standards.
Mayor Zhu Lilun said that 6 billion business opportunities had been created last year, and this year's fourth "New Taipei City ICT International Purchasing Exchange Media Fair" attracted 14 buyers from India, Malaysia, Poland, Belgium, Austria, South Korea and Chinese mainland, as well as 5 Taiwan buyers, and arranged more than 200 interviews today, indicating that New Taipei's accumulated strength in the ICT industry has been internationally recognized.
