Pumpkin can be harvested in the early stage and melon in the late stage. Pumpkin seedlings, as a new special vegetable, has become one of the main vegetable varieties in urban and rural vegetable market in recent years. Pumpkin seedlings tender shoots, tender stem nodes, tender leaves and tender leaf stalks, as well as tender flower stems, flower buds can be eaten. Pumpkin seedlings do not need to apply pesticides, really pollution-free food. Pumpkin seedling technology points are as follows: Select varieties. Select local seedlings, melon and long, seedling bold pumpkin for improved varieties, such as pillow melon, melon plate, corbel melon, dahongpao melon, yellow melon and so on. It is not advisable to use short varieties of melon seedlings.

Soak seeds to germinate. Pumpkin seeds are sun-dried for 2 days, then put into hot water at 50 DEG C and immediately stirred out of the fire. When the water temperature drops to about 30 DEG C, the seeds are soaked for 15--20 minutes, then naturally cooled, and the seeds are continuously soaked for 7--12 hours. After soaking seeds, germination temperature is maintained at about 30℃, and germination can occur in two days.

Fine soil preparation. Choose rice fields and vegetable fields with good drainage, low groundwater level and fertile soil to plant pumpkin seedlings. According to the width of 1.5 meters sub-ridge, open a good ridge ditch, ditch width 30 cm, ditch depth 15--20 cm, four sides open a good drainage ditch.

Sow seeds at the right time. In order to advance and extend the time to market, sowing can generally begin in February, and can be sown in batches until August. According to the row spacing of 20 cm open sowing ditch, plant spacing of 10 cm sowing, two seeds under each stump, after sowing irrigation water, covered with 2 cm thick nutrient soil.

Timely fertilization. Apply enough base fertilizer. 2000- 2500 kg of decomposed cow and pig manure or 2500- 3000 kg of soil fertilizer and 20 kg of phosphate fertilizer are put into each mu. After sowing, it is drenched with decomposed manure water or biogas slurry. The ash fertilizer or nutrient soil prepared in advance and fully fermented and decomposed is covered with seeds, and then the mulch film is spread on the ridge surface, and the surrounding soil is compacted and kept warm. After emergence, let the seedlings grow under the membrane. Topdressing generally uses decomposed human and animal manure water, and must diligently pursue to ensure sufficient manure water supply, in order to promote the rapid growth of melon seedlings. After each harvest, apply quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer to melon stump in time to promote early axillary bud.

Timely harvest. When melon seedlings grow to 40 cm high, there are 5- 6 true leaves can be harvested in batches, leaving 1- 2 true leaves at the base to cut off the upper tender seedlings. The axillary buds grow to 40 cm and can be harvested repeatedly. Spraying 80 mg/kg "920" solution 5- 7 days before harvest could increase yield by more than 30%, reduce the formation of coarse fiber at the base node, and improve the quality of melon seedlings.
