In poultry production, it is common to give poultry injections, but there are not many poultry breeders who can give correct injections except professionals. During our investigation in the countryside, we found that some poultry farmers did not understand the nature of the medicine, the injection site was not selected correctly, the method was not correct, and so on, resulting in liquid injection into and out of the body, inflammation and swelling in the injection area, sometimes causing poultry death, paralysis, and so on, causing undue losses to production.

There are mainly eight taboos in this respect:

First, injections in the poultry legs do not hit the inside. Because the main blood vessels and nerves on the poultry leg are on the inside, injection here is easy to cause vascular and nerve injury, needle eye bleeding, cripple, paralysis and other diseases, you should choose to inject on the outside of the poultry leg.

Second, do not use thick needles to give injections to chickens and hypodermis. Thick needle injection because the injection depth is small, the needle eye is large, the potion is easy to flow out after injection, and then affect the effect of prevention and treatment, and the needle eye is easy to inflame and bleed, it is necessary to use fine needles (human needles) and oily medicine can be used with slightly thicker needles.

Third, avoid vertical needling by injecting breast meat. Give injections to young birds and chicks because their muscles are thin or the needles are too long, vertical needling is easy to penetrate the chest, injecting the liquid into the chest, causing death. To follow the direction of the bird's sternum, after piercing next to the sternum, the needle core can not be pulled back (which means the needle is in the muscle), and then push the needle to inject the medicine. If you are a skilled injector, you don't have to try this.

Fourth, do not enter the liquid medicine at one o'clock for a long time. Because the muscle of poultry is thinner than that of pigs and cattle, putting in a large amount of liquid medicine at one point is easy to cause local muscle damage, and it is not conducive to the rapid absorption of drugs, so the solution should be injected into the muscle at different times, so that all shortcomings can be avoided.

Fifth, the more irritant medicine liquid avoid injecting in the poultry leg. The main active organ of poultry is the leg, and some drugs have strong irritation and slow absorption. For example, penicillin oil and oil vaccine, these drugs are injected into the muscles of the legs, causing long-term pain in the legs and inconvenient for walking, affecting the feeding, growth and development of birds. Injections should be given in places with many muscles in the wings or sternum.

Sixth, avoid catching and can't hold when you get an injection. It is normal for poultry to feel pain and uneasiness when injecting, and resistance is normal. When catching poultry, it is important to know that it is not tight and loose, so as to achieve both firmness and no injury to poultry. If birds resist during injection, it is easy to cause needle eye enlargement or tear, bleeding or outflow of medicine, affecting the effect of medicine and causing internal bleeding to death by piercing into the chest, chest and other important parts.

Seventh, avoid disinfection when injecting. Some professional households think that there is usually no poison to be eliminated, so there is no need to be so troublesome, and some needles are hit to the end with a needle, which is not good. Needles and needles used for injection should be boiled for half an hour before disinfection. When injecting, it is best to wipe the bird's skin with alcohol cotton balls, and then wipe the needles with cotton balls after the injection. of course, if there are conditions, you can change the needles one by one, so as to prevent the bacteria on the needles on the poultry skin from invading the poultry body. If you give an injection to sick birds, you can find (borrow) dozens of needles to take turns to boil and disinfect. Some professional households arrange like this: put a basin of boiling water on the coal stove, all the needles are put into boiling, and then put cold boiled water on the side. When injecting, use a clip to clip out the sterilized needle, dip it in cold water, and then give the bird an injection. After the injection, dial the needle and put it in boiled water. Using fast cold and fast heat can also kill germs.

Eighth, injections should not be rough. Catch a bird injection, say to the bird itself is a strong stimulation, the operator should be light and fast, push the liquid to press the needle eye, quickly dial out.
