1. Prepare the nest

Under the condition of artificial breeding, peony parrots can breed almost all the year round, but in cold winter and hot summer, the nest box should be removed and the breeding season should be controlled in spring and autumn. 2. Paired spawning

3. Hatching and brooding

The incubation period is about 19-22 days, which is completely hatched by the female. The male guards and feeds the female outside the cave. The nestling leaves the nest after 35-40 days.
