(1) preparation before brooding

The nursery should be protected from the wind and the sun, with warmth and ventilation facilities. One week before brooding, clean and rinse the inside and outside of the nestling house, whitewash the surrounding walls with 10% Rue 20% lime water, disinfect the corners of the floor, food trough and water fountain with 2% caustic soda solution, rinse with clean water 1 hour later, use 28ml formalin and 14g potassium permanganate per cubic meter in the house, and close the brooding house for fumigation and disinfection, including drinking fountains, material plates, buckets, pads, chicken cages and other brooding facilities. In addition, it is also necessary to do a good job in the preparation of feed, vaccines and drugs.

(2) key points of brooding techniques

1. Brooding methods: there are plane brooding (ground brooding, online brooding) and standing sports chicks.

2. Temperature and humidity of brooding:

??? The brooding temperature should be 33 ℃-35 ℃ at the first week, 30 ℃-33 ℃ at the second week, and then decreased by 2 ℃ per week until it dropped to 18 ℃-20 ℃.

The humidity of brooding should be 65% at the first week, 60% at the second week, and about 55% after the third week.

3. Eating and drinking water: after the chicks enter the house, drink and eat in time, drinking water first and then eating. 1-week-old chicks avoid using cold water and require drinking cold boiled water, and the water temperature is close to that of the house. 5% sucrose solution can be used for 2-3 days. It is best to start eating 3 hours after drinking water, because at this time the meconium in the chicken has been basically exhausted and there is a sense of hunger. When eating, the chicks can be evenly sprinkled on the newspaper, so that the chicks can eat freely and feed less frequently. Feed 6 times / day-8 times / day within 7 days of age, and 4 times / day-6 times / day after 7 days old. When 80% or 90% of the chicks are full, they can remove their feed, so that the chicks will not be underfed or overfed and keep their strong appetite. In order to improve the digestive ability of chicks, a small amount of fine sand was added to the feed from the 10th day of age, or put the fine sand on the plate to allow them to feed.

4. Lighting and ventilation: chicks should be given 24 hours of light in the first 3 days after entering the house, with light intensity of 2.7 watts per square meter, light bulbs should be set up reasonably and evenly distributed to facilitate food intake and drinking water, and the light intensity should be 18 hours from the 4th day to the second week of age. but the light intensity decreased to 1.3 watts per square meter. After that, the light time per week will be shortened by 2 hours until natural light is used. Excessive light will cause stress to the chicks, and too weak light will reduce the feed intake of the chicks and fail to achieve the expected body weight.

When the weather is warm at noon, you can properly open the window, hang the shutter, or use the fan to exchange air. If you want the guarantor to stay inside, you will not feel stinky, pungent, astringent, or choking, and avoid the thief wind and cold wind blowing directly to the chicken during the change of air.

5. Feeding density: 30-40 animals per egg before 2 weeks, and 20 animals per egg after 2 weeks.

6. Health and epidemic prevention: the immune system of chicks is underdeveloped and is prone to diseases, especially infectious diseases, which are difficult to control once spread. Therefore, a nursery requires chicks from the same source and the same age to be transferred out at the same time. And do a good job of immunization prevention in strict accordance with scientific immunization procedures. In order to reduce the stress caused by each immunity, an appropriate amount of vitamins can be added to the water. In the chicken stage, emphasis should be placed on the prevention and treatment of white dysentery. Within 3 days after entering the chick, 10001U penicillin per chicken should be drunk, and anti-coccidiosis drugs should be added to the feed.
