1. Site selection:

The site shall conform to the local overall plan for land use and the urban and rural development plan, and shall not be built in the prescribed no-maintenance area. It is more than 1000 meters away from animal slaughtering and processing places, markets for animals and animal products, more than 1500 meters away from breeding and poultry farms, and not less than 500meters from animal farms (breeding areas). It is more than 3000 meters away from the places where animals are quarantined and harmless, and more than 500meters away from urban residential areas, cultural, educational and scientific research and other densely populated areas and major traffic lines such as highways and railways. The site has high and dry terrain, sufficient sunshine, good ventilation and drainage, solid and flat soil, adequate water source, reliable and convenient water and electricity supply, good water quality and compliance with GB-5749 regulations. In order to build a field in hills and mountains, sunny slopes and gentle slopes should be selected as far as possible, and the slope should not exceed 20 °. Around the farm, there should be farmland, orchards, vegetable gardens and flower plantations that absorb livestock and poultry manure on the spot or have the conditions for sewage discharge.

2. Layout of the site:

The overall layout of the farm shall be in line with the production process and the requirements of animal epidemic prevention, and the office and living areas, production areas and ancillary areas shall be reasonably arranged according to function. The office and living area is located in the leeward direction and higher terrain of the perennial dominant wind direction, the production area is located in the leeward or lateral wind direction of the office and living area according to the summer dominant wind direction, and the ancillary matching area is built in the leeward direction and lower terrain of the perennial dominant wind direction. The boundaries between the districts are clear, the contact is convenient, and they are separated by walls, green belts and so on. Clean roads and pollution roads are strictly separated in the production area, with a single flow of personnel, livestock, poultry and goods. Walls and epidemic prevention ditches shall be built around the site, and duty rooms, disinfection pools and vehicle disinfection channels shall be set up at the entrance and exit of the gate.
