In recent years, the market prospect of Rex rabbit is good. Some provinces and cities in China have actively developed Rex rabbit breeding. after years of propagation and breeding, Rex rabbit skin and meat have begun to enter the domestic and international markets. When raising rabbits in rural areas, cages can be adapted to local conditions and use local materials. This paper gives some opinions on the feeding and management of Rex rabbits.

1. Reproduction

The suitable mating of female Rex rabbit is from July to August, which can not be earlier than June. The suitable body weight is 2.5-3.0 kg, the mating age of male rabbits is 8-9 months, and the body weight is 3.5-4.0 kg. The four artificially assisted mating methods are that repeated mating means that the same male rabbit is mated with the same female rabbit twice with an interval of 4-6 hours in the same mating period. Double mating means that female rabbits mate with two different males in the same mating period, with an interval of 30-120 minutes. Multiple mating refers to the same female rabbit in a mating period, mating with more than 2 different male rabbits at an interval of 30-120 minutes. When the blood-matched female rabbits were mated in the first 3 days after delivery, the conception rate was high and the reproductive density could be increased. Usually a male rabbit can undertake the mating of 10-15 female rabbits and can rest for 1 day after 2 consecutive days of mating. In general, the average pregnancy period of Rex-free female rabbits is 30-31 days. Spring is a good season for female rabbits to breed, so we should strive to let Rex rabbits give birth to more than 2 litters in spring; hot and humid summer, do not let Rex rabbits breed in summer; autumn female rabbits are in estrus, which is another good season for Rex rabbits to breed; the temperature in the north is low in winter and green feed is lacking, but for rabbit farms with green fodder sources, they can reproduce as usual in winter.

2. The proportion of nutrition and feed.

Among the protein requirements of Rex rabbits, the diets of growing rabbits, pregnant rabbits and lactating rabbits should contain 16%, 15% and 17% crude protein, respectively. The fat content in the Rex rabbit diet is 2% Mel 3% for growing rabbits, 3% Mel 4% for pregnant rabbits, and 4% Mel 6% for lactating rabbits. The appropriate content of crude fiber in the Rex rabbit diet is 12 Murray, 0 Murray 16%, 0 young rabbits can be appropriately lower, but not less than 8%. The minerals needed by Rex rabbits can be divided into two categories according to their content in the body: the first category is major elements, mainly calcium, phosphorus, sodium, aluminum, potassium, magnesium, sulfur; the second category is trace elements, such as iron, copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt, iodine, selenium and so on. The mineral requirements in the diet of growing rabbits are 0.34% calcium, 0.22% phosphorus, 0.2% sodium and 0.04% sulfur. The vitamins needed by Rex rabbits can be divided into two categories: fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K) and water-soluble vitamins (vitamin C and vitamin B). Rex rabbit daily water demand, generally 2-3 times the amount of dry feed.

The approximate proportion of grain used for general raw materials is 35% mi 45% for roughage (hay, straw, vines, etc.) and 25% mi 35% for energy feed (corn, barley and other grains). Plant protein feed (various cakes, etc.) 5% Mel 15%, animal protein feed (such as fish meal, etc.) 0% mi 50%, inorganic salt feed (bone meal, stone powder, etc.) 1% mi 3%, feed additive (including trace elements, etc.) 0.5%. 1.0%. Attention is that the quality of ① feed is an important factor related to Rex rabbits. Formula feed should strictly prohibit the use of all kinds of moldy and deteriorated inferior feed. ② makes full use of local feed resources. The selection of feed should consider economic benefits and make full use of local feed resources with rich nutrition and low price, especially protein feed, such as alfalfa dry powder, so as to reduce feed cost. ③ accords with the physiological characteristics of digestion. Rex rabbit is a monogastric herbivore, like to eat plant feed, also like to eat pellet feed, but do not like to eat powder feed. The appropriate content of crude fiber is beneficial to maintain the normal physiological function of Rex rabbit digestive tract and the digestion and absorption of nutrients. Too high or too low crude fiber content will have adverse effects on intestinal peristalsis and digestive juice secretion of Rex rabbits. The combination of ④ and diet should be relatively stable. The method to evaluate the formula is to carry out a small-scale feeding experiment. Once it is determined that the diet Rex rabbit likes to eat and grows fast, the feed conversion rate is high and the cost is low, it should be relatively stable and should not change too much, so as to avoid adverse effects. If it has to be replaced, it needs to be carried out step by step so that the rabbit can have an adaptation process.

The breeding of Rex rabbits is mainly green and extensive. Generally, green feed accounts for 60% of rations, 70% of raw material, and 30%-40% of coarse feed and concentrate. Breeding should be diversified, drinking water should be fresh and clean, and feed should be changed gradually. Rex rabbit likes sweet and vegetarian food, but doesn't like to eat powdered, fishy feed. For example, when feeding powder, it should be wet with water before feeding, otherwise it is easy to be sucked into the trachea and cause respiratory diseases. When feeding, it is necessary to be regular, quantitative and flexible, and the "seven-look feeding method" can be adopted. First, look at the body weight, feed more; second, look at fat, fat into better less; third, look at faeces, such as dry and hard, to increase green feed, increase drinking water, otherwise, on the contrary, give drugs if necessary; fourth, when hungry and full, the amount of feeding can be increased appropriately. Fifth, look at the age, adult rabbits are fed less, generally 3 days a day, middle-aged rabbits 4-5 times, newly weaned rabbits 5-6 times a day, and are required to be fed with good quality and digestible feed; six look at the number of young rabbits, lactating rabbits, young rabbits have begun to eat, to set up more feed grains, more feed; seven look at the season, hot summer, feeding early in the morning, noon fine but less, in the evening to feed. Winter is cold, feed early in the morning, eat well at noon, eat well at night, add night grass at night, and pay attention to succulent feed. Feed more hay in the rainy season and more green material in the dry season. In addition, the nutritional level of Rex rabbit is 10.0-11.3 megajoules / kg of digestive energy. Crude protein 15% Mel 18%, crude fiber 12% Mel 14%, among them lactation rabbit feed requirements, digestive energy, crude protein content is high, crude fiber content is low.
