The young mink separated from the breast at the age of 40-45 days to the end of September, during which the nutrients and energy absorbed by the young minks accumulated in a dynamic balance, which led to a rapid increase in the number of tissues and cells, and the rapid growth and development of young minks. Therefore, doing a good job of feeding and management in the breeding period can improve the survival rate, ensure the fur quality and obtain a larger width.

1. Feeding in the early stage of breeding

During this period, the metabolism of young minks is very exuberant, and the demand for various nutrients is extremely urgent, and the nutrients needed by young minks are obtained entirely through feeding. Therefore, sufficient nutrients must be provided to meet the needs of its growth and development. The diet should be high in energy, high-energy feed can promote large, protein to maintain lactation level, vitamin addition should be adequate. The mink grows fastest 60 days after weaning, and the mink must be enlarged in this period, otherwise, the mink will be short and thick after adulthood, which will affect the commercial value of the fur. The feeding standard of this period is 1000 ~ 1400 kilojoules of metabolic energy, 27g / kg of protein, 8g / 12g of fat and 14g / g of carbohydrate. The feed weight ratio is 40% for fish, 38% for livestock and poultry by-products, 22% for corn flour, and the right amount of water. Other feed: add 5 grams of yeast, 0.3 grams of salt, 800 international units of cod liver oil, 8 milligrams of vitamin E, 15 milligrams of vitamin B15, 2.5 milligrams of vitamin B22.5 milligrams, 10 milligrams of vitamin C per day.

two。 Management in the early stage of development

(1) weaning grouping. Young minks should be separated and grouped in time 40-45 days after birth. Early or delayed weaning is not beneficial to female or young minks. Before weaning, do all the preparatory work, such as cage construction and maintenance, cleaning, disinfection and other preparatory work. The method of weaning is to separate 2 or 3 minks of the same sex into one cage at a time. After 7 days and 10 days, the minks are reared in a single cage, and the minks are selected at the same time.

(2) do a good job in hygiene and epidemic prevention. The breeding period is in the height of summer, so it is necessary to strictly prevent minks from various diseases caused by eating rotten and deteriorated feed. It is necessary to strictly control the feed and establish a reasonable feeding system. At this time, generally feed 3 times a day, each time the feed should be eaten within 1 hour, if not finished, should withdraw the utensils as soon as possible. Wash food and water utensils every day and disinfect them regularly. We should try our best to eliminate ants, flies and mice to prevent gastroenteritis, dysentery, adipose tissue inflammation and poisoning. Timely supply of adequate drinking water to prevent heatstroke. 15-20 days after leaving milk, young minks should be vaccinated against infectious diseases such as canine distemper and viral enteritis.
