Taichung City Smart Green Building Forum gathers policy vision

In response to climate change, smart green spirit has become the goal of cities in all countries. Taichung City Government and Taichung City Building Management Association jointly held the "2016 Smart Green Building Forum" on the 10th. Public departments, private enterprises, scholars and other people gave special speeches and exchanged views. Mayor Lin Jialong also attended to share experiences and opinions, hoping to gather broad ideas and gather more policy visions for smart green buildings and smart cities in Taichung.

Mayor Lin Chia-lung said that Taichung is moving towards a smart green city, including formulating regulations for the development of low-carbon city autonomy, positioning the Shuiyan Economic and Trade Park as a demonstration area of innovative low-carbon cities, and officially approved by the Executive Yuan to develop into a "smart machinery capital in the middle". He hopes to combine energy conservation and carbon reduction, community care and other functions to improve the living environment of Taichung and build a people-oriented livable city.

Mayor Lin Jialong also said that Taichung takes "innovation","low carbon" and "wisdom" as its promotion goals. The digital machinery industry policy is closely related to the Internet of Things, cloud technology and big data analysis. The development of the concept of smart green buildings not only promotes energy conservation and carbon reduction, but also integrates surrounding resources such as transportation, business, industry and ecology. Thanks and looks forward to the continuous promotion of all sectors to improve the urban regional plan and overall development through integration of resources and joint cooperation. It is also expected that the recommendations of all parties in the forum will serve as a reference for the municipal government to implement policies.

The forum featured five keynote speeches, including "Low Carbon City and Smart Green Building Outlook","Demonstration of Smart City in Japan","Smart Green Building in the Netherlands-Smart Energy Saving Lighting","Panasonic Healthy and Comfortable Housing Proposal to Meet Future Needs" and "Demonstration of Low Carbon Energy Saving in Smart Green Building", which were respectively presented by the Municipal Urban Development Bureau, Vice President of the Legislative Yuan Cai Qichang, Hitachi Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Fuyu Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd., Panasonic Taiwan Environmental Solutions, Panasonic Panasonic Schneider Electric and others served as speakers.
