How to prevent and control heartburn in Chinese cabbage

Dry heartburn of Chinese cabbage is usually a physiological disease caused by calcium deficiency. Calcium deficiency in plants can affect the formation of calcium pectin in cell wall, restrict cell division, hinder the growth of Chinese cabbage, cause water imbalance in the plant, and cause "dry heartburn". Prevention is mainly carried out from the following aspects:

1. Increase the application of organic fertilizer, organic fertilizer not only contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other elements, but also rich in calcium, silicon and other elements, comprehensive nutrients, stable fertilizer effect, can be used as a base fertilizer in the whole tillage layer.

2. Rational drainage and irrigation, drought and lack of water in the soil, poor effective absorption of calcium, excessive water, inhibition of root absorption of nutrients, therefore, Chinese cabbage should always keep the soil moist and refreshing during the whole growth period.

3. Applying plant ash, plant ash contains a lot of potassium and rich calcium oxide. When plant ash is applied in neutral and acidic soil, potassium and calcium are added, Chinese cabbage grows well.

4. Spray calcium fertilizer water solution during the growth period, spray 0.5% calcium chloride solution + 0.2-0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate for 2-3 times, which can effectively prevent and cure the disease.
