I believe that what many pig farmers fear most is the infertility of breeding pigs, especially in summer. Because of the high temperature in summer, among domestic animals, the thermoregulation ability of pigs is relatively poor, and the heat tolerance is far lower than that of cattle and sheep. As the temperature rises, the rectal temperature of the pig begins to rise, and if the temperature persists, the pig can't stand it. Often in this period of time, breeding pigs are easy to suffer from "infertility". Then it will bring great losses to pig farmers this summer. As a result, people have been looking for solutions. Pig farmers are in a hurry every hot summer. In order to safely get through the "summer infertility period," the following points hope to help pig farmers:

1. Reduce the feeding density.

2. Strengthen feeding and management and carefully prepare summer grain.

3. Reduce the content of crude fiber in diet, especially the ratio of wheat bran to rice bran.

4. Pig food must ensure various nutrients such as protein, energy, minerals and vitamins, especially increase the content of lysine (from 0.5% to 0.9%).

5. It is necessary to increase the contents of vitamin A, E, C, folic acid and biotin to ensure the adequate supply of Zn, Se, Mg, K and Na in the diet. Because these nutrients play a special and important role in the balance of body fluids and the normal development of follicles.

6. Add grease appropriately. This can not only meet the energy needs of sows, reduce weight loss, but also improve the survival rate of piglets.

7. Improve the pigsty building to ensure warm winter and cool summer. Open or semi-open, pay attention to the orientation of the pig house, the roof of the pig house adopts heat insulation material, and a shallow pool can be set up in the playground if possible for pigs to take a rolling bath to cool down in the pool.

8. Strengthen the ventilation of pig house. Open more doors and windows, install ceiling fans and exhaust fans to enhance air convection.

9. Do a good job in greening pig farms. By shading, reducing radiation, intercepting Rain Water and transpiration, trees can reduce the radiation heat of pig farms by 50-90%. Through greening, the whole pig farm will form a comfortable and cool microclimate under the cover of shady trees. Plant more trees around the playground, let the vines climb up the roof and fence, and give full play to the shade and heat insulation effect of green plants.
