In the cultivation of sweet pepper, some vegetable farmers have insufficient understanding of diseases and insect pests and unreasonable planting methods, which make the occurrence of diseases and insect pests more serious. The long-term use of unreasonable plant protection and control technology has led to the deterioration of the ecological environment and increased the possibility of major outbreaks of diseases and insect pests. Biodiversity prevention and control of sweet pepper diseases and insect pests technology, that is, sweet pepper and corn, peanut, Chaotian pepper and other crops intercropping, the use of a new cultivation model (ridging cultivation) to achieve the purpose of high quality, high yield and pollution-free production.

Technical principle of biodiversity prevention and control of sweet pepper diseases and insect pests: intercropping changed the spatial distribution of compatible hosts, affecting the spread and infection of diseases (dilution effect); differences in plant height of different crops during growth and maturity, the formation of undulating surfaces in intercropping fields is not conducive to the occurrence of diseases (blocking effect). Inhibition (antagonism or predation) of harmful bacteria by the increase of beneficial microorganisms and protozoa in intercropping soil. In addition, sweet pepper intercropping with different crops, other crops can promote the growth of sweet pepper, improve the nutritional utilization of pepper leaves and enhance disease resistance.

Technical points:

The main results are as follows: (1) intercropping mode between sweet pepper and peanut. Sweet pepper ridge cultivation, seedling raising and transplanting. Double rows of large ridges, ridge width 50 cm, ridge height 20 cm, groove width 30 cm, sweet pepper row spacing 40 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. Peanuts do not ridge, peanut row spacing of 20 cm, plant spacing of 20 cm, sweet pepper and peanut row spacing of 25 cm. 8 large ridges and double rows (16 rows of sweet pepper) were intercropped with 5 rows of peanuts.

(2) intercropping mode between sweet pepper and corn. Sweet pepper ridge cultivation, seedling raising and transplanting. Double rows of large ridges, ridge width 50 cm, ridge height 20 cm, groove width 30 cm, sweet pepper row spacing 40 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. Corn does not ridge, corn row spacing 50 cm, plant spacing 50 cm; sweet pepper and corn row spacing 24 cm. 5 large ridges and double rows of sweet peppers (10 rows of sweet peppers) were intercropped with 2 rows of corn.

(3) intercropping mode between sweet pepper and garlic. Sweet pepper ridge cultivation, seedling raising and transplanting. Double rows of large ridges, ridge width 50 cm, ridge height 20 cm, groove width 50 cm, sweet pepper row spacing 40 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. 3 rows of garlic in the middle of ridges and furrows, 15 cm between garlic and 8 cm between plants; 15 cm between sweet pepper and garlic. 1 large ridge double row sweet pepper (a total of 2 rows of sweet pepper) intercropped with 3 rows of garlic.

(4) the mixed planting mode of sweet pepper and Chaotian pepper. Sweet pepper, Chaotian pepper ridge cultivation, seedling transplanting. Large ridge double rows, ridge width 50 cm, ridge height 20 cm, groove width 30 cm, sweet pepper, Chaotian pepper row spacing 40 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. 5 large ridges and double rows of sweet peppers (10 rows of sweet peppers) were intercropped with 1 large ridges of Chaotian peppers (2 rows of Chaotian peppers).
