Only by doing a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic disease can we provide a guarantee for the economic benefits of the sheep industry. practice has proved that vaccination is the most effective means to prevent the epidemic disease, but in many large-scale sheep farms, the operation of immunization is not standardized, which leads to immune failure from time to time, resulting in sheep morbidity and death, and bringing great economic losses to the farm. Therefore, in order to standardize the immunization operation of sheep farm and reduce the occurrence of epidemic disease, the following matters should be paid attention to during immunization.

First, the principle of immunization. Scientific immunization procedures should be formulated according to the epidemic situation of the local epidemic, the actual situation of the field and the season, and strictly implemented according to the immunization plan in order to achieve the preventive effect. Vaccination can not completely prevent the occurrence of the epidemic disease, but can only artificially control or reduce the probability of the occurrence of the epidemic disease. Only by paying attention to strengthening the feeding and management at ordinary times, can sheep be strong and have strong self-defense ability to reduce the occurrence of the epidemic disease in essence.

Second, select the object of inoculation. Sheep should be examined before immunization to grasp the health status of sheep. All sheep that are sick, frail, young, old, late in pregnancy (except Brucella live vaccine) and have been given antibiotics seven days before vaccination should be postponed. However, for the epidemic threat areas, in order to ensure the health of sheep, it should be vaccinated urgently.

Third, before vaccination.

1. It is necessary to investigate the epidemic situation nearby and strengthen the health inspection of sheep.

2. Carefully read the instructions of the vaccine: usage and dosage, adverse reactions, injection site, how to dilute, matters needing attention, etc.

3, to check the vaccine, found that there are no labels, vaccine bottles have cracks or lax sealing, there are foreign bodies in the vaccine or deterioration, all can not be used.

4. Prepare the equipment and personal protection.

Fourth, at the time of immunization.

1. The injection equipment and injection site should be strictly disinfected.

2. The immune site and method should be accurate, the operation should be standardized, the dose should be appropriate, and one needle per sheep should be achieved to avoid cross infection.

3. The vaccine must be used now, and the diluted vaccine must be used up in the shortest time (2 hours). 4. Take the vaccine out of the refrigerator and hold it in the palm of your hand, or leave it at room temperature for 10-30 minutes to prevent the vaccine from being injected into the sheep at too low temperature. shake the vaccine well when you use it, but do not shake violently to prevent bubbles.

Fifth, after immunization.

1. Vaccines that have been uncorked or diluted must be used up on the same day, and the unused vaccines will be discarded after heating to prevent environmental pollution. The unused vaccine in the inhaled syringe should be injected into a special empty bottle for pre-treatment.

2, instruments and appliances should pay attention to disinfection after use, do not litter, to prevent environmental pollution, causing losses to the sheep farm.

3. Pay attention to observation at any time and find that abnormal reactions in sheep should be dealt with immediately.

4. Make a good record and establish a strict immunization file.
