Reasonable watering is an important measure to ensure healthy growth and increase yield of greenhouse vegetables. In view of the low temperature in winter and the high humidity in the shed, the following matters should be paid attention to when watering greenhouse vegetables:

1. Pay attention to growth. Look at plant growth, usually when the plant is short of water, the leaves will wither, the growth will weaken, and the fruit umbilicus rot occurs more frequently. At this time, water should be supplemented in time.

2. Pay attention to moisture content. To see the soil moisture, if watering in the greenhouse soil is not dry, it is not only not conducive to improving the ground temperature, but also easy to lead to poor soil permeability, resulting in hypoxia of the roots, resulting in retting roots and yellow leaves.

3. Watch the weather. Before watering, we must watch the weather forecast, not only choose sunny watering, but also ensure that there are 2~3 days of sunny days after watering, so as to avoid rainy weather after watering, resulting in increased humidity in the shed, reduced ground temperature and frequent diseases. Winter season more need to pay attention to, in the first two days after cloudy days suddenly sunny, also not suitable for watering, should first increase the temperature of the shed, so that plants basically return to normal and then watering.

4. Pay attention to ground temperature. The average daily ground temperature suitable for vegetable growth is about 22℃, while in the late winter season, the ground temperature in the shed is mostly 15℃~20℃. If the watering is excessive or the watering time is not right, the ground temperature will drop rapidly, causing root injury and endangering the growth of the plant. Therefore, watering at low temperature is best carried out after opening the grass cover in the morning.

5. Pay attention to mulching. Mulching plastic film can not only reduce evaporation of ground water, maintain soil moisture, reduce watering times, reduce air humidity, reduce disease occurrence, but also increase ground temperature and accelerate vegetable growth.

6. Pay attention to moderate watering. In winter and spring, greenhouse vegetables watering generally follows the principle of no shortage of irrigation, rather dry than wet, keep the soil moisture content of vegetable rhizosphere at about 60%, prevent excessive and frequent watering, and avoid flood irrigation. Excessive watering tends to reduce the temperature in the shed and soil temperature, which is unfavorable for vegetable growth. To use small water frequently watering, or with a kettle point watering plant by plant.

7. Pay attention to water temperature regulation. When the temperature difference between water temperature and greenhouse temperature is more than 5℃, it is easy to cause root damage. It is better to irrigate with deep well water with higher water temperature or pre-storage in shed.

8. Pay attention to management after watering. In winter, the temperature should be raised to about 40℃ at noon for the first two days after watering, and the temperature in the shed should be raised for 1 hour. Then increase ventilation to reduce humidity in the shed. And then for the vegetables easy to occur diseases, spraying prevention, in order to reduce the occurrence of pests.
