The whole scorpion is the dry body of Buthus martensii Karsch, a member of the scorpion family. Scorpion, known as scorpion and worm in traditional Chinese medicine, is the first of the "five poisons". It has the effect of extinguishing wind and relieving spasm, activating collaterals, detumescence and pain, detoxification and dispersing knots. For thousands of years, there have been more than 100 prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine made from scorpions. Scorpion is an important raw material for more than 30 kinds of proprietary Chinese medicines, such as Ginseng Zaizao Pill, Tongxinluo capsule, Dahuoluo Dan, Qizhen Dan, Yuanzheng Powder and so on. The medicinal scorpion in China is mainly distributed in Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Liaoning, Beijing, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Shanxi and other provinces. Scorpion in Shandong Province is famous for its large quantity and high quality, and it is a traditional authentic medicine.

For a long time, scorpion commodities come from wild resources, and scorpion is widely used, and the market supply has been relatively scarce, which is far from meeting the needs of the market, so it is necessary to realize the commercial production of artificial scorpion as soon as possible. However, when raising scorpions in captivity, we need to know more about the living habits and some feeding skills of scorpions, and to find a good treatment for sick scorpions, such as the technical support for raising scorpions is the best, so that when raising scorpions in captivity, the risk is the least and the benefit is the greatest. Therefore, before raising the whole scorpion, have you already understood the key points and points for attention of the whole scorpion feeding technique? The following is to introduce the scorpion feeding techniques and key points for attention.

[feeding technology]

The artificial culture of scorpion can be divided into three methods: isolated breeding, greenhouse breeding and domestic breeding.

(1) selecting sites to build sites

The main results are as follows: 1. The isolated farm should choose sandy soil with good drainage from the leeward to the sun. Dig a pit 50 cm deep in the selected site, fill it with stones and soil (proportion 3:1) to make a scorpion nest, cover the top of the nest with a layer of soil, and build some honeycomb holes connected with the bottom so that the scorpion can get in and out. Then spray water to bond the upper and lower layers of soil and form soil capillaries. After the nest is repaired, brick is used to cut through the wall, the wall is about 20 cm high, and the wall is inlaid with glass to prevent the scorpion from escaping.

2. Build a greenhouse that can maintain 35-38 ℃ all the year round, and build a scorpion pond.

3. Jiafanshan farm should choose the places with undulating mountains, stratified rocks and interlaced cracks. In the stocking farm, a breeding pond is built in the leeward and sunny place with no pollution. The pond is 6 meters long, 3 meters wide and 30 centimeters deep, and the gravel, tiles and soil are placed and cracked. Three stone Weirs with a length of 5 meters and a height of 0.5 meters are built with thin stones on the surface. Black lights are installed in the pond. It is enclosed with glass 20 centimeters high. It is used to conceive scorpion and give birth.

(2) feeding methods

1. The scorpion should be caught nearby, and the female scorpion with large body and plump foreabdomen should be selected. Scorpions can reproduce for several years at a time, so there is no need to release male scorpions. The most suitable season for seed collection is from May to late June. Therefore, after a period of foraging, the scorpion has recovered its physical strength and the parturient period is short.

2. Isolated feeding: scorpion is scattered in nature, looking for a suitable living environment in a large range. Under the condition of artificial feeding, the density of scorpion is high, often interfere with each other, even residual food, isolated feeding method, the larger population of scorpion is scattered to a small isolation area, which is beneficial to the growth and development of scorpion. It is more appropriate to put 30 pregnant scorpions or about 300 young scorpions in every 0.2m isolation plot. The survival rate of single scorpion isolation is high, but the cost is high, so it is not suitable for mass production.

Raising in greenhouse: scorpion in nature mainly grows in July, August and September with high temperature. In winter, as long as the appropriate temperature is maintained and enough food is put in, the scorpion can still grow and develop normally. The heat source of the breeding greenhouse can use factory waste heat, can also be heated separately, or supplemented by solar energy. The temperature is maintained at 35-38 ℃ and the relative humidity is 70-80%. The baby scorpion can grow into a scorpion in about 300 days, can be reproduced, and can also be processed into medicine.

Family breeding: the collection of medicinal scorpion is carried out during pregnancy in spring, which is extremely disadvantageous to the reproduction of scorpion. In order to solve this problem, during the purchase season, strong pregnant scorpions are selected and raised for a period of time. After giving birth, the scorpions are processed and put into medicine, and the scorpions are put into the field suitable area to grow naturally. This method can make full use of wild resources and has the characteristics of simple equipment, short artificial breeding time, low cost and so on. The method is as follows: in the first ten days of May, among the purchased live scorpions, the pregnant scorpions with large body, strong and without disability were selected, 0.8-10,000 scorpions were put into each pool, and an appropriate amount of food was put into each pool to make them give birth, and the scorpions were separated from the mother and put into the field breeding area. When stocking, according to the distance of about 10 meters, parallel scattered into the selected stocking area, 400-800 per mu. The released scorpion, like the naturally bred scorpion, takes 3 years to grow up. A small-scale test in Qingzhou, Shandong Province shows that the density of scorpion in the stocking area can be increased by 48%, the purchase quantity can be increased by up to 50%, and the recovery rate of female scorpion can reach 80%.

(3) feeding and management

The main results are as follows: 1. Under the condition of artificial feeding, the selected food must be scorpion like to eat, but also can ensure the growth and development of nutrition; the source is stable and reliable, low cost; easy for scorpion prey, does not pollute the environment. The nutritional value of many warehouse pests, female mice and soft-shelled turtles is similar to that of wild food of scorpion and can be used as the main feed for artificial breeding of scorpion. At present, Tenebrio Molitor, Tenebrio Molitor and Trionyx sinensis have been raised successfully, which provides a rich feed source for artificial breeding of scorpion.

Under natural conditions, scorpions come from a variety of food sources. There should also be a variety of feed types for artificial feeding. According to the experimental observation, the scorpion raised by female mouse worm almost did not grow, the body weight basically did not increase, and most of them could not molt; alternately feeding with foreign worm and mouse female worm could significantly improve the development, and most of them could molt; when fed with many kinds of insects, the scorpion grew and developed well. In general, after the first skin, the scorpion eats 8-10 mg of worms each time, and then eats once more every 10 days, for a total of about 3 times. Adult female scorpions can eat 100 milligrams of bugs at a time, usually once every 20 days. Postpartum female scorpion can eat 100 mg once a day for 2 consecutive days. At this time the abdomen has been full, 10 days later, and eat about 100 mg, to hibernation a total of about 600 mg. Artificial feeding should be timely and appropriate amount of feed, with no or less residue for the degree, to avoid environmental pollution and waste.
