A brief introduction to the method of planting Prunella vulgaris

Chinese herbal medicine Prunella vulgaris likes warm and humid climate and can withstand severe cold. The sandy loam with sufficient sunshine and good drainage is the best, followed by clay loam and calcareous loam.

Main points of planting Prunella vulgaris: one seed propagation: spring sowing in Beijing in mid-April and autumn sowing in late August. Multi-purpose strip sowing, open a shallow ditch, line spacing 30 cm, spread the seeds evenly in the ditch and cover with thin soil. After sowing, the soil should always be kept moist, and seedlings should emerge in about 10 days. Dichotomous plant propagation, spring, when the old root sprouted, the root will be dug out and separated, each with 1-2 buds, along with digging and loading, watering after planting. In the three field management, weeding is often removed after emergence, and the soil is loosened for 1-2 times, dilute dung can be applied 1-2 times during the growing period, and drainage should be paid attention to in the rainy season.
