Rich bamboo is a family green plant that we see more every day, and it is also common in many shops, companies and so on. Rich bamboo represents the blooming of rich and noble flowers, bamboo reports peace! It can be said that its moral is quite beautiful. It also feels appropriate to put it at home.

Rich bamboo is easy to cultivate, which can be cultured in both water and soil. It is an excellent green plant for home decoration and air purification. The reproduction of Phyllostachys pubescens is relatively simple, we often use the method of cutting propagation to raise more rich bamboo. And the breeding time can be almost all year round, we just need to properly control the temperature. Below, Hua'ergu will introduce the cutting propagation methods of Fugui bamboo.

Cutting time of Fugui bamboo

Generally speaking, the time of rich bamboo can be between January and February. Cuttings can be cut directly in the soil or by means of river sand and hydroponics. Generally speaking, it only takes about 30 days for cuttings to grow new roots in spring.

In addition, we can also carry out cutting in March to April, when the temperature is gradually rising, cutting rich bamboo can generally grow new roots in half a month or so, compared with January to February when the cutting rooting speed is much faster.

In addition, we can also choose to cut in summer. In summer, we usually use hydroponics or sand culture to propagate. After cuttings are placed in a cool and astigmatic place, they can take root in about 7-10 days.

Cutting treatment of Phyllostachys pubescens

For the cuttings of Fugui bamboo, we generally need to cut some leafless stems as cuttings. The length of cuttings is generally about 10cm, with three knots in the middle.

Prepare a basin of river sand, water it thoroughly and make a hole in it, then cut the cuttings to tamp the surrounding sand, and then keep it in a cool and astigmatism place to avoid direct sunlight.

The rich bamboo after cutting generally needs to be watered every three days or so, and we can decide the watering time according to the dry and wet degree of the seasonal sandy soil.

We also often use some relatively tender stalks close to the top to cut, so the cuttings are also very good.

Matters needing attention in cutting

Some of our flower friends will propagate new rich bamboo plants by hydroponic culture. The cuttage length of hydroponic culture is generally the same as that of soil culture, choosing three nodes and the length is about 10cm. If the nodes are dense, we can also select a few more nodes.

Water inserted rich bamboo, we usually use flowerpot trays as containers instead of some plastic bottles and other utensils. In this way, the water level can be better controlled, and the environment of ventilation and ventilation is also better. Bottle cultivation generally needs to be cut low and then used.

For hydroponic cuttings, the bottom position needs to be closer to the node, so that the roots grow faster and do not rot easily.

When using sandy soil to cultivate, remember that the phenomenon of stagnant water in flowerpots should not occur, otherwise it will lead to cuttings rot and mildew, and then the consequences of cutting failure will occur.

These are the cutting propagation methods and some matters needing attention of Fugui bamboo introduced to you by Hua'ergu. If you have ever bred rich bamboo, if you have any good experience and skills, you can leave a message for your friends in Hua'er Valley to share.
