Upgrading and tutoring old hotels in Taipei to create new vitality
Who says that if old hotels want to keep up with the times and revamp their software and hardware, they must go around to learn their skills? 40% of the hotels in Taipei have been in operation for more than 15 years. Last year, the Tourism and Communication Bureau launched the "Promotion of Taipei Hotel upgrading mentoring Program", which attracted more than 60 hotels to participate, and finally selected six old hotels. Through one-stop, integrated and comprehensive courses and on-site guidance, six hotels were substantially improved, and a results presentation meeting was held on the 13th.
With the continuous improvement of the socio-economic environment, the hotel is no longer just a place to provide accommodation, but also a tourist stop combining friendly sightseeing and cultural creativity. Many small and medium-sized old hotels also want to be transformed, but they are powerless and do not know where to start. The Tourism and Communication Bureau integrates the professional knowledge of "connecting with international booking websites, improving the standard of room service, hotel row rooms and customer experience, interior decoration and design, overall marketing, environmental protection, energy conservation and carbon reduction". Provide one-stop service planning to guide hotels in need of assistance by systematic courses and case-by-case tutoring, so that hotels can try to combine local culture and creativity. Success in finding new life for old stores has also helped each operator save nearly NT $1 million in consulting and mentoring fees.
The older the history, the better it is, and the old hotel is handy, brick by brick is the mark of time and the warmth of human feelings, just like an old man who quietly tells the story of the city, leading tourists to feel the prosperity and changes of Taipei. Through the joint efforts of the government and the private sector to complete the "Promotion and tutoring Program for the upgrading of Taipei Hotels," these old hotels will be able to redisplay their wonderful city memories and irreplaceable cultural elegant demeanor under the tide of time.
