Seed propagation: the plant cluster with strong growth and high yield is selected as the mother plant, and the full and pest-free fruit is picked for seed when the fruit is fully ripe. Peel off the pericarp before sowing, wash the pulp, soak the seeds in clean water for 10 to 12 hours, collect and sort them out, and then rub the seeds with coarse sand to wipe off the aril, or mix the seeds with 30% plant ash to remove the colloid layer on the surface. The seeds can be dried and preserved until they are sown in the following spring. The greenhouse nursery should choose areas close to water sources, loose soil fertility and good drainage performance. After ploughing, the soil is fully mixed with rotten dry cow dung and topsoil, and the border is 1-1.5 m wide after raking. The length of the border depends on the topography. Strip sowing row spacing 20cm, sowing depth 2~3cm, covering with straw or weeds after sowing, moisturizing with water. The nursery should set up a shed to shade, and the shade of the seedling bed is about 50%. Remove the cover grass when emergence, pay attention to keep the soil moist at seedling stage, clean up fallen leaves at any time, pull out weeds, apply a small amount of plant ash and fully mature animal dung water for 2 or 3 times to promote seedling growth.

Split propagation: one-year-old strong mother plant was selected, and before the new buds germinated in spring, the rhizome was cut off to grow into a small segment of about 7~8cm, and each segment should have 3 bud points. The intercepted bud roots were planted in the nursery and planted after the new buds were unearthed.
