In recent years, in line with the new southward policy, Chiayi county magistrate Zhang Huaguan led the county government team to promote tourism with the theme of "235 Love Skyline", and also went to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines to promote tourism. On the 7th, the new southward policy was fermented, attracting 61 people from three Malaysian media (Star, Xingzhou Daily, Guanghua Daily) and photography unions to come to Jia for sightseeing and reporting to experience the unique Alishan cherry blossom season.

The Malaysian media and photography union arrived in Chiayi on the afternoon of the 7th. The first stop was to visit the well-known church of high heels, which was received in the evening by Wu Fangming, deputy county magistrate, Deng Yayuan, owner of Longyun Villa, and others. In her speech, Wu Fangming introduced the tourism environment of Chiayi County to Malaysian guests, while promoting the tea party and the Taiwan Lantern Festival held in Chiayi in 2018. I hope that tourists from Southeast Asia can come to Chiayi for in-depth tourism.

Wu Fangming pointed out that in the first three days of the Malaysian delegation's seven-day visit to Taiwan, well-known scenic spots such as the High Heel Church, the South Imperial Palace, Fengqi Lake and Mount Ali in Chiayi County were selected as an important itinerary for Taiwan sightseeing, and will continue to cooperate with Southeast Asia and other tour operators in the future to attract tourists from home and abroad to Chiayi County with rich tourism experience.
