Land selection and preparation

Ligusticum chuanxiong happy soil layer is deep, loose and fertile, good drainage, rich in organic matter sandy loam, neutral or slightly acidic is better. Heavy clay, poor drainage and low-lying land are not suitable for planting.

1. Lingzi, a breeding material for cultivating Ligusticum chuanxiong in the main producing areas of Sichuan, is often located in the mountains with an altitude of 900, the high mountains are suitable for sunny slopes, and the low mountains are suitable for semi-shady and semi-sunny slopes. After selecting the land, remove withered branches and weeds, burn ash on the spot as base fertilizer, plough deep 25~30cm, flatten and rake fine, and make beds according to the specification of wide 1.7~1.8cm.

2. When planting on flat land, it is appropriate to choose early rice field, and the first stubble of early rice is better than the stubble of green manure. After early rice harvest, shovel the rice pile, open ditch width 30cm, deep 25cm, make a border 1.5m wide, sprinkle compost or barnyard manure 3000kg on the border surface, mix well with topsoil, dig loose and fine, and form a tortoise back shape.

Reproduction method

Ligusticum chuanxiong uses asexual reproduction, and the breeding material uses the stem node of the stem, which is commonly known as "Lingzi". The main producing areas cultivate "Lingzi" in mountainous areas and plant Ligusticum chuanxiong on flat land. Breeding Ling on flat land affects the growth of rhizome and is prone to diseases and insect pests and degradation, so it is not suitable to be used.

1. Cultivate "Lingzi"

(1) from late December to mid-January of the following year, sooner rather than later, dig up the roots of Ligusticum chuanxiong and remove the stems, leaves, soil and fibrous roots, which is called "Fuxiong". It was transplanted to the high mountain area before the first ten days of February. Holes were opened on the border when planting, and holes were opened on the border according to the row spacing of (20: 30) cm × (20: 30) cm. The hole was deep 5~7cm, and proper amount of compost or animal manure water was applied into the hole. Each hole planting "Fu Xiong" one, bud head upward.

(2) to manage the emergence of seedlings in early March. When the seedling height was 10: 13, the seedlings were thinned, the upper part of the rhizome was exposed, and 12 aboveground stems with strong growth and uniform thickness were selected, and the rest were cut off from the base. After seedling thinning to late April, weeding and topdressing were carried out once per mu, with human and animal manure 1000kg and rotten cake fertilizer 50kg per mu.

2. The suitable time for planting is in the first and middle of August, and the decrease of temperature too late affects the material accumulation of rhizome. Take out the stalks before planting and get rid of those with diseases and insect pests, no buds and those whose buds have already germinated. In sunny days, shallow trenches were opened on the border according to row spacing 30cm, ditch depth was 2~3cm, plant spacing was about 20cm, and 8 Ling were planted in each row. Put Lingzi flat in the ditch, the bud head up and press tight, should not be too deep or too shallow. Two Ling seeds were planted at each end of the row, and a row of Ling seed was planted every 5-10 rows to prepare for seedling replenishment. Cover Lingzi with fine fertile soil after planting, cover grass to moisturize and prevent rainstorm erosion and strong light exposure.

Field management

The main results are as follows: 1. Weeding is carried out 4 times a year. About half a month after planting, the cover grass was removed after finishing the seedlings, and the weeding was carried out for the first time.

From now on, it will be carried out every 20 days. Pay attention to the shallow hoe of topsoil, do not hurt the roots. Combine seedlings and replenish seedlings in the first two times. When some leaves were withered and yellow in the first and middle days of January of the following year, the aboveground parts were first pulled off (the producing area was called "winter medicine"), then the field was cleaned, the topsoil was raked, and the roots were obstructed with soil between rows, so as to make the rhizome survive the winter safely.

2. Topdressing combined with topdressing once in the first three ploughing, applying animal manure water 1500~2000kg per mu, mixed with fermented cake fertilizer liquid 50kg, diluted with proper amount of water and then applied at acupoint. After the third topdressing, plant ash, soil fertilizer, rotten cake fertilizer and other mixed fertilizers were used to cover the soil next to the plant. Applying spring fertilizer in the first ten days of March of the following year, the rhizome yield could be increased by leaching 750kg, ammonium sulfate 7.5kg and potassium sulfate 2.5kg in animal feces and urine.
