The soft rot of Fritillaria thunbergii is an important disease that affects the retention of seeds in summer. In recent years, the harm is more and more serious, seriously affecting the development of Fritillaria thunbergii production.

Symptoms: the injured bulb is waterlogged at first and spreads quickly, and finally the bulb soft rot turns into messy "tofu dregs" or "paste" shape, or into sticky "snot" shape, and has a special stench.

Disease regularity: Fritillaria in situ mostly occurs in mildew and rain season (May-June), summer season (August) and rainstorm season. Especially in the case of low-lying water in the field, poor soil viscosity and ventilation conditions, bulbs not fully spread out before storage, wounds or insect scars have not healed, or excessive humidity of sandy soil for storage is more likely to occur.

Prevention and control methods:

The main results are as follows: (1) the medium-sized sandy soil with high dryness, smooth drainage and rich organic matter should be selected.

(2) the seeds were soaked with 50% carbendazim or 75% chlorothalonil.

(3) frequently open ditches and drainage in the field and keep no waterlogging.

(4) do a good job in pest control to prevent the seed coat from breaking. When harvesting bulbs, care should be taken to prevent damage to the seed coat.
