Bitter almond tree, also known as deciduous tree, is a deciduous bridge tree of Rosaceae, with a height of 4 to 9 meters, which can be used as a greening forest and timber forest. The kernel of its fruit is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine with high value.

In the mountain area, planting bitter almond is a good project to get rich. it does not earn barren soil, drought resistance and few diseases and insect pests. It can be planted in front and behind the house, and enter the full fruit period after 3 years.

When planting bitter almond trees, seeds are often used to raise seedlings and then plant. The method is as follows: harvest mature seeds in June, remove the pulp, put the seeds into a jar, pour in 85-90 ℃ hot water (the amount of water is limited to submerged seeds), pour and stir, so that the seeds are evenly heated, then rinse them with 45 ℃ warm water twice a day, and then sow or raise seedlings after the seeds expand and crack. The seedlings were raised for 1 year, and the seedlings were transplanted with a height of about 40 cm. The row spacing of fixed plants is 4 m × 4 m or 4 m × 5 m, with 42 plants per mu. In the first year or two, young seedlings need to loosen the soil and weed once or twice a year, and apply farm manure and potash fertilizer; hanging fruit trees should be re-applied phosphate fertilizer, and pruning and pest control.
