2017 Pingtung bluefin tuna culture tourism season starts on the 6th.
The Pingtung bluefin tuna cultural tourism season will begin on May 6. This year's bluefin tuna season will introduce themed art lighting, limited snack banquets, Donggang excursions and other activities. Pan Meng-an, the county magistrate, said that in the 17th year of the bluefin tuna season, the culture of traditional fishing villages has been transformed, combining local culture, industry, tourism, and other resources to give bluefin tuna a name. Everyone is welcome to come to Dadonggang to participate in the grand event, taste fresh and have fun for the summer.
The county government held a press conference on the 3rd. County Mayor Pan Mengan, Director of Mirs Bay National Scenic area Xu Zhulong, Donggang Town Mayor Xu Zhixiong, and Donggang Fisheries Association Executive Director Lin Hanchou jointly injected blue sequins into the fishing boat, symbolizing the arrival of big tuna to celebrate the harvest, guarding marine resources, and opening the happy prelude to the bluefin tuna season.
County Mayor Pan Mengan said that the opening event will hold a big "tuna" star party in the square in front of Donglong Palace in Donggang Town on the evening of May 6. Golden song queen Sun Shumei, Golden Melody Award newcomer Wu Shenmei and popular imitation singers Xiao Zhang Xueyou and Xiao Jiang Yuheng were invited to sing enthusiastically, and the surrounding area combined with lantern scene decoration art to turn Donggang into a gorgeous city that never sleeps.
This year, art lighting decoration is planned, with 8 sets of lights with three major themes: "Fish Water full of Water", "three Treasures of Donggang" and "Happy Donggang". From 6-6 pm to 10:00, lights will be lit all the way beside the river embankment on Guangfu Road, Donggang Town, to add to the evening atmosphere. After tasting seafood, you can also walk in the street with art lanterns.
