After sowing Pinellia ternata, due to a variety of factors, there will be irregular seedlings, early and late; the whole growth stage will also uninterrupted emergence and fall seedlings.

In the newly emerged Pinellia ternata, the leaves are small and tender, and the ability to resist the outside world is poor; coupled with the high incidence of aphids and gray planthoppers after sowing, there are a lot of aphids and gray planthoppers flying in the space of planting Pinellia ternata. As long as the seedlings of Pinellia ternata are unearthed, aphids and gray planthoppers will immediately fly to the leaves of Pinellia ternata seedlings, absorb nutrients and spread the various germs and viruses they carry to the seedlings of Pinellia ternata. After the seedlings of Pinellia ternata were infected, yellow irregular spots appeared at the initial stage, and the leaves gradually turned into flowers and leaves, wrinkled and twisted, the leaves rolled up, the plants dwarfed and grew poorly, which seriously affected the yield and quality of Pinellia ternata. This disease is called virus disease, also known as leaf shrinkage disease. The root cause of virus disease is mainly due to the transmission of aphids and gray planthopper. Aphids can transmit yellow dwarf virus and gray planthopper can transmit cluster dwarf virus, especially in Pinellia ternata near roadsides, ditches, river banks, wheat fields, cotton and vegetable gardens. Therefore, control aphids and gray planthoppers in advance, and after continuous rainy days, timely spraying germicidal pesticides to prevent diseases It is an effective technical measure to fundamentally put an end to the occurrence and spread of viral diseases.

Prevention and control methods:

The main results are as follows: 1. Choose disease-free plots and areas for planting, and the soil is better in middle loam, PH6.5-7.5.

2. The improved varieties of Pinellia ternata were strictly selected, and the tubers of Pinellia ternata and wild Pinellia ternata produced in the land with disease last year could not be used as seed stems. In order to ensure that the stem of Pinellia ternata does not carry the virus, the stem of Pinellia ternata was sterilized before sowing.

3. Apply more fermented and mature organic fertilizer, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer properly.

4. After the emergence of Pinellia ternata, the occurrence and spread of aphids, gray planthoppers and other pests should be eliminated in time.

(1) aphid control: 2500-fold solution of 40% dimethoate or 2.5% deltamethrin or 10% cypermethrin EC, once every 7-10 days, alternately spraying.

(2) Control of gray planthopper: chlorpyrifos, pyrazidone, dichlorvos and other conventional pesticides can be alternately sprayed.

5. Two days after the occurrence of aphids and gray planthopper pests in Pinellia ternata seedlings, small yellow spots will appear on the leaves of Pinellia ternata, which is the initial stage of virus disease. New drugs with low toxicity and low residue can be selected, such as virus Qing, keduwei, duba and so on, once every 3 days, and the above drugs can be treated alternately for 3 times.
