The root of Chinese yam is shallowly buried in the soil, and generally does not carry out deep ploughing to avoid root injury, and weeding can be carried out according to the situation. Usually after watering, it can be combined with loose soil to cover the soil properly. In order to improve the ground temperature, it is common to water the seedlings after coming out, but the soil moisture should be suitable when planting. After the emergence of Chinese yam, only one strong bud was left in each plant, and the rest of the buds were removed. Topdressing was carried out in the middle of June, and those who did not apply enough soil fertilizer and bean cake could apply fertilizer in shallow trenches in the row. In early July, according to the growth situation, combined with watering and fertilization. During this period, no base fertilizer can be applied, about 15 kg of urea per mu before rain. 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate or 0.2% urea can also be sprayed, and plant growth regulators can be properly sprayed during the vigorous growth period. From the first ten days of August to the first ten days of September, dilatonin was sprayed properly.

Pest control

(1) the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests in Chinese yam should give priority to prevention, and prevention is more important than control in order to achieve twice the result with half the effort. Once diseases and insect pests occur in Chinese yam, it is more difficult to control them. Therefore, to use the drug before the onset of the disease, the rods used in previous years should be soaked with fungicides and then inserted into the rack. In mid-late May, Chinese yam seedlings can be sprayed to prevent disease when they are about 1 meter high.

(2) anthracnose, leaf spot, brown spot and white astringency can be prevented and treated with 70% mancozeb 500 times 600 times, or 50% methyl thiophanate 700 times 800 times, or 80% anthrax Fumei wettable powder 800 times, once every 7 times 10 days, 2 times in a row, and make up spraying in time after rain. White astringent disease can be treated with 400 × 500 times of basic copper sulfate suspension or 500 × 600 times of 50% thiram wettable powder in early June. Or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 700-1000 times for foliar spraying.

(3) Stem rot and Fusarium wilt can be irrigated 2 times 3 times with 50% carbendazim 400 times, or 75% chlorothalonil 600 times, or 95% dimethazone 200 times 300 times, once every 10 to 15 days. Fusarium wilt can be irrigated with 50% carbendazim wettable powder 600 × 700 times or 70% mancozeb wettable powder 500 times, once every 10-15 days for 5-6 times.

(4) the Chinese yam leaf wasp can be controlled with 50% dichlorvos 1000 times or 50% phoxim 1200-1500 times.

(5) Red spiders can be controlled with 1000 times of omethoate EC.

(6) when underground pests such as ground tigers, grubs, mole crickets and golden needles are found, targeted pesticides and poison baits are selected for control.
