Coptis chinensis, also known as seed lotus, elegant lian and chicken claw company, is produced in the humid, overcast and less Yang, neutral soil zone at an altitude of 900-1500 meters. Coptis chinensis is a perennial herb of Ranunculaceae. There are many kinds and wide producing areas, which can be divided into wild and agricultural species (the wild ones are of high quality). The seedling growth period is 1 year, the transplanting growth period is 4 years, and the plant height is 15~45cm.

First, raising seedlings

1. Seed collection and preservation. Coptis chinensis, which has been planted for 2 to 4 years, blossoms and bears fruit, and the harvest season is every summer. When harvesting, the seed stalk is gently picked and put into a cloth pocket, dried in the shade, and pure Coptis chinensis seeds are obtained by removing shells and sundries. The dormancy preservation period of the seeds is generally mixed with sediment, mixed with 1kg Coptis chinensis seeds in the moderate dry and wet sediment of 3kg, and then sealed in a cool and ventilated place with a breathable cloth pocket, and checked at any time, it is appropriate to pinch into a mass by hand and loose hands. It is found that if the sand is too dry, it should be sprayed with a small amount of water to moisturize, and then sow in autumn and winter.

2. Ground preparation and fighting. Coptis chinensis seedling land should select fertile wasteland, remove root weeds, dig 10cm with hoe, open the box with 1.5m ditch, and make the soil fine and flat. Build a sunshade, hit a stake every 2 meters along the middle of the box, the stake is about 2.2m long, and the top is made into a "Y" shape for bamboo and wood branches to shade the sun.

3. Sowing and shading. Sowing time is suitable in late autumn and early winter, pure seeds per mu are about 0.5kg, sediment species are 2kg, sown evenly, and then covered with branches to protect against sun and rain, it can also moisturize and prevent drought to increase seedling emergence rate and promote seedlings to be strong and strong. There are 100000 seedlings per mu of nursery land, and the production area can be transplanting to 4 mu.

4. Fertilization and disease prevention. The seminal ducts are critical at the seedling stage, and the seeds sown begin to sprout when the temperature rises. When it is found that more than 60% of the seeds have germinated and turned green, the mulch should be uncovered, and the branches should be placed evenly on the sunshade rack. Then remove the litter and weeds from the seedling box. When Coptis chinensis seedlings grow to more than 4 leaves, you can increase the application of seedling fertilizer, using urea 0.5~1kg per mu, dry spraying or spraying with water, once in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spreading plant ash can prevent powdery mildew. 50kg can be applied per mu. After application, gently sweep the plant ash off the leaves with bamboo and trees to avoid burning seedlings. If the seedlings have white mildew and powdery mildew, you can spread quicklime 1kg per mu, or you can choose carbendazim 25% wettable powder mixed with 500x liquid spray, or you can exchange thiophanate 50% wettable powder 1000-1500 times liquid spray, once every 5-10 days, the effect is good.

2. Cultivation

Coptis chinensis grows in the zone of 900-1500m above sea level, likes yin and little yang, needs rich water and nutrients, and can be harvested 4-5 years after planting.

1. Choose strong seedlings. Coptis chinensis seedlings can be cultivated or purchased by themselves. generally, the disease-free tender seedlings and strong seedlings of 1 ~ 1.5 years old are the best, and the yield is the best. the seedlings are old and weak seedlings of more than two years old, and the yield is low after planting, so it is not suitable to choose. Coptis chinensis production land should choose raw wasteland is the best, because raw wasteland has less weeds and diseases and insect pests, land preparation is basically the same as seedling land, and trees can be left for shade.

2. Carefully plant seedlings. Coptis chinensis seedlings can be planted all the year round, but spring and autumn is the best season. The planting method is that each plant is planted with a nest with a row spacing of about 15cm, square planting, with fine soil pressing the whisker root, and the seedling core is flush with the soil surface. Do not plant too deep.

3. Weeding and sowing. The planting management of Coptis chinensis is the main guarantee for high yield, weeding and seedling protection, weeding three times a year in spring, summer and autumn, and mainly covering soil in winter. Every year, Coptis chinensis has new tillers and a number of new buds appear on the soil surface, and soil mulching can promote its rhizome to thrive. The method is to evenly sprinkle fertile soil on the box of Coptis chinensis by digging the box ditch and the edge of the ground. Before covering the soil, apply the base fertilizer once, use plant ash 50kg and compound fertilizer 50kg per mu, and then cover the soil.

4. Topdressing to prevent disease. Spring and autumn is the peak growth period of Coptis chinensis, and it is also the period of maximum nutrient demand. Urea is applied once in autumn, and 5kg is used every mu. Two years after planting, Coptis chinensis land should be fertilized with human and animal fertilizer to promote its root growth.
