The common weeds in alpinia officinalis are: beef tendon, paspalum, revolutionary vegetable and alternanthera philoxeroides, most of which are dicotyledonous weeds. These weeds can compete with medicinal plants for nutrition and water in the soil, which affects the yield and quality of alpinia officinalis to a certain extent. Therefore, artificial control of weeds in alpinia officinarum is a regular field management work. At the same time, in the process of weed control, different methods can be used to control different weeds, and appropriate chemicals can be selected to control weeds, which not only saves labor and time, but also is more thorough and reliable, and can achieve better control effect.

1. Weeding before planting.

Chemical weeding should be based on soil application before planting, and one application can keep the whole growing period free from weeds. The commonly used chemicals for soil treatment before planting are as follows:

(1) 48% trifluralin EC.

Trifluralin EC has a wide spectrum of weeds, and can effectively control annual seed-propagated Gramineae weeds, such as cow tendon, dogtail grass, paspalum and so on. The spraying time is usually 5-10 days before the weeds germinate, and the dosage is exchanged with water according to the instructions, and the topsoil of the drug field is evenly sprayed. Because trifluralin is easy to volatilize and photolysis, it should be turned over shallowly with spraying, and the solution should be mixed into the soil layer of 5cm and 7cm in time. If there are conditions, it is best to mix with mechanical spray rake once, and the weeding effect can reach more than 90%. It can also be watered immediately after spraying, but the effect is not as good as that of shallow mixing soil. Generally speaking, the pesticide can only be planted every 5 to 7 days.

(2) 50% Acetochlor EC. The pesticide mainly absorbs the solution through the aboveground part of the weed, inhibits its protein synthesis and stops the growth of buds and roots, resulting in the death of weeds before emergence, before emergence and shortly after emergence. It has a special effect on a variety of annual Gramineae weeds and can control some broad-leaved weeds with small seeds. Spraying time is usually carried out 3-5 days before planting and transplanting. Note that it must be applied before weeds are unearthed. Spray the soil surface evenly with 70 ml of this agent per mu and 40 ml of water per mu.

2. Weeding after planting

Alpinia officinarum usually has more weeds to sprout and grow only in the seedling stage and early planting stage, so artificial and regular weeding methods should be preferred.

If there are many weeds, you can spray 40 milliliters of free hoe EC with 30 liters of water per mu, or spray 150 milligrams of 200 milliliters of water with 30 liters of water with 20 percent, or spray 6 grams of 70 millimilliliters of caoxing EC with 30 liters of water per mu to spray the stems and leaves evenly.
